Ghanaian-based Liberian artist and songwriter, JZyNo has extended an olive branch to Ghanaian dancer Dancegod Lloyd over a misunderstanding that ensued between them regarding the video shoot of the song ‘Butta My Bread’.
JZyNo stated after Dancegod did a challenge for his ‘Butta My Bread’, he decided to have him in the music video for the song but things didn’t go as planned.
“The issue started when we did the ‘Butta My Bread’ song. We were to do the music video in Nigeria. Clarence Peters sent us the date for the shoot. So I told Dancegod about it.
“We were all in numbers; my manager, Dancegod at East Legon. He said he was going to Spain, he was going on tour.”

JZyNo further narrated that even when he offered to buy flight tickets for Dancegod to move from Spain to shoot the video in Nigeria, he declined.
“Then I said if I don’t put my brother in the video I wouldn’t feel alright and secondly people may feel different tomorrow. So bro, I know how much I have in my account. I want to buy you a ticket from Spain to Nigeria in and out.
“Let’s just shoot the video, just for you to be in the video. Dancegod said ‘No, I am going on tour’, I don’t know when I will be back.”

This made him contact two Nigerian dancers who agreed to do the work for him because he still needed dancers in the video; he went for Chris and Purpose Baby and paid them.
Their deal also failed because when it was time for the shoot, the dancers’ costumes were not ready.
He, therefore, had an agreement with them to let them shoot a video for any song he would do next.
According to JZyNo, he called Dancegod later so he would not feel he sidelined him after they earlier worked on the ‘Butta My Bread’ challenge, adding that he told him based on what happened that time and the situation.
“These people are going to do the challenge for my new song because I couldn’t allow that money to be wasted,” he noted.
This, he claimed was the beginning of his sour relationship with Dancegod Lloyd.
JZyNo is known for songs such as ‘Onana’, ‘Rula’, ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’, ‘Butta My Bread’, and the latest ‘Mood’ featuring Khaid.
Singer Reveals How He Once Felt Like Quitting Music
JZyNo stated that he sometimes wanted to give up on music.
According to him, he wanted to test the waters of venturing into a new job.
“There have been times I wanted to give up. Just yesterday, I had a conversation with a media personality and told him I feel I want to leave music and go and work.
“He then questioned me on what I was going to do. He informed me I didn’t give up when I was struggling so why am I doing so when I had come to the spoiler.”

He further stated that the reason behind his music was to connect Liberia to the world.
JZyNo believes he is not doing music like a regular artist.
“Now, I have strategies that I am using and I had to put in work 3 to 4 times a regular artist may put in,” he added.
He also stated that although he is subject to restrictions as an artist, he finds ways to overcome them for perfection.
“You may see artists having people going into the streets to promote his or her song but I will go there myself because I want to see better results,” the ‘Butta My Bread’ hitmaker stated.
He also mentioned that though his industry is small, he is the most followed and streamed Liberian artist.
“My industry is a small one so you can’t have a million followers just like that. We’ve been having people who have been there for years and they still can’t see it.
“I am the most streamed and most followed Librarian on all digital platforms. It’s not normal in Ghana or Nigeria to find one artist having it all but I am having it all because I am outside trying to tap different fan bases.”

He also mentioned his total stream on AudioMack is 70 million.
