Ghanaians should be bracing themselves for a hip-hop collaboration featuring Black Sherif and KiDi after the two rocked and are still rocking the music scene both locally and abroad with their ‘Lomo Lomo’ banger.
Dennis Nana Dwamena popularly known as KiDi dropped the hint of the collaboration.
“It is a crossover. I brought Black sheriff into my world and he is going to bring me into his world,” he divulged.
Many wondered how the romantic-flavored Afrobeat renditions of KiDi could rock and roll with the rugged street hip-hop mixes of Black Sheriff when the former announced on X that a collaboration was up with the name ‘Lomo Lomo.’
Explaining how the duo converged to lock down the rather complex art, KiDi indicated that he had always been in talks with Black Sherif about the possibility of hitting the studios with him, on a project.
“I’ve always wanted to work with him. For a year now we have always been talking like we need to get into the studio. So when this song was made I was like, if there were ever a time for us to get on a song, this is the perfect time. And as you all can hear, it came on, and boom!”

KiDi pointed out that Lynx Entertainment’s partnership deal with EMPIRE and Made In East New York (MIENY) had propelled his brand to a global audience and opened up opportunities for him to perform on big stages across the world.
“We were always working here but distribution takes the music to the corners of the world. This is why I can go play on a stage in Australia and Barcelona,” he commended.
He expressed gratitude to his fans, the production team led by Kojo Blak, Black Sherif, and all who had contributed in diverse ways to making ‘Lomo Lomo’ a tremendous hit.
KiDi released his new song, ‘Lomo Lomo’, featuring Black Sherif and its visualizer, on his official YouTube Channel around midnight on July 31, 2024.
The song became a fan favorite following its release and received massive airplay and positive reviews from music critics.
Musician Reveals What Motivates Him to Soldier On
Sensational Ghanaian musician, Dennis Nana Dwamena affectionately KiDi, says the lifeblood of his motivation to keep soldiering on in music is primarily his vision and close family.
The ‘Lomo Lomo’ hitmaker disclosed that there are days he does not feel like singing but the picture of his son, mother, and family would kick him to rise to the plate.
“One thing that motivates me is the vision of where I am trying to get to and my family, my son, my mom;… Days when I don’t feel like being an artist when I don’t feel like singing, when I think of all of these people, I wake up and soldier on.”

KiDi, however, indicated that his biggest fear is poverty and a scare that poverty would strip him of an opportunity to have fun and make an impact in society.
“My parents taught me early in life that having fun is part of this life. The life that I want to live with my loved ones and friends is one of merry-making and enjoying ourselves.”

“Without money, you cannot do that. You cannot also make an impact in other people’s lives,” he explained.
In other news, in a social media video on Instagram, KiDi encountered a female fan. The female fan, who beamed with a smile, expressed her admiration for the singer during the encounter. She hailed him for being an inspirational figure in the music industry.
She also praised KiDi’s attitude towards his fans, describing him as down-to-earth and humble. The singer, who was touched and excited to hear the nice compliments from the fan, proceeded to take some photos.
