Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, popularly known as KK Fosu, has reaffirmed his steadfast support for Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, and his ‘New Force’ Movement.
This declaration comes in the wake of KK Fosu’s release of a new song titled ‘Back to Sender’, which criticizes detractors of Cheddar following a confrontation with the government over the cancellation of his rally at the Black Stars Square.
In a bold statement, KK Fosu expressed his allegiance to the New Force Movement, removing his sunglasses to emphasize his sincerity. “I am a New Force Movement member. I want my face to show while saying this clearly,” he asserted.
The ‘Sudwe’ hitmaker emphasized the ideological distinction between the New Force Movement and the two major political parties, the NPP and NDC.
According to KK Fosu, members of the New Force Movement are “freedom fighters,” whereas those in the traditional political parties are driven by personal interests by fighting for their pockets rather than the welfare of the nation.
Addressing the inspiration behind his song, KK Fosu explained that it serves as a rebuttal to individuals attempting to undermine the New Force Movement, particularly its leader, Cheddar.
“I am sending fire to any negativity against him, us, or anybody who is our enemy,” he stated.
Regarding the incident at the Black Stars Square, KK Fosu speculated that Cheddar may have been perceived as a threat by authorities, who feared he would outshine them given the opportunity.
KK Fosu’s impassioned remarks reflect his unwavering support for Cheddar and the New Force Movement, as well as his determination to combat any opposition or negativity directed toward them.
Concerns have been raised about the dominance of NPP and NDC in Ghana’s political system as cases of corruption continue to surge in the country amid the economic hardship facing Ghanaians.
Breaking Silence Over Inactivity In The Music Scene
KK Fosu addressed his period of inactivity in the music scene and revealed that he was meticulously preparing a unique music project for his fans, which was why he did not release any projects last year.
The highly anticipated “Back to Sender” music project has finally been unveiled by the award-winning musician. The track was produced by Saffbeatz and mixed and mastered by the legendary Appietus.
The musical chemistry between KK Fosu and Appietus has, over the years, birthed timeless hit singles, and “Back to Sender” is certainly no exception.
KK Fosu, a presence in the music scene for over 25 years, emphasized that he aimed to create something distinctive and of high quality for his fans, and the wait has proven to be worthwhile.
“I want to use this music project to announce my comeback in the music scene, and this is just the start. I have exciting collaborations with some of Ghana’s finest, and I believe this year will be my year,” he expressed.
Addressing his new single “Back to Sender,” KK Fosu clarified that the theme of the song signifies its purpose, as he responds to critics who have consistently wished for his downfall.
“This is a redemption tune, and I want to send a clear signal to my followers and music lovers that I will never stop what I am doing and will continue to churn out more music,” he asserted.
KK Fosu’s Dstyle Global music brand, managed by Bizzle Entertainment, has outlined a series of activities to commemorate his 25th anniversary in the music industry later this year.
