Lasmid discloses that he didn’t know his exit will be a disappointment to Kaywa
Former Highly Spiritual Signee, Lasmid, said that he didn’t know leaving Kaywa’s record label was going to be a disappointment to him.
Kaywa’s disappointment was with regard to Lasmid’s refusal to sign a contract after investing huge sums of money into his craft.
Kaywa expressing himself during an interview said:
“Someone like Lasmid, after investing and pushing to put him to the next level, decided to leave. If I talk about the investment, you will know it really went deep. Lasmid is someone I really love a lot, so I personally tried to push him. Someone like Drew will even accuse me of using their money to push this guy, but I still went ahead because I knew the potential he had”.
Kaywa
According to Highly Spiritual leader, Kaywa, after Lasmid’s ‘Friday Night’ song went viral, the budding artists changed towards their agreement.
Kaywa further added:
“He wanted to stay and I also wanted him to stay but the young chaps in the industry felt my focus was on him even though he was no more part of the label. So I personally called him with some people. Let’s agree. Let’s push you to where at least we have a hit song then the conversation will be different so when we are signing you to the label proper then nobody will have a problem”.
Kaywa
In response to Kaywa’s claims, Lasmid revealed that he has not wronged his former boss in any way.
He revealed:
“I didn’t know leaving Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual is going to be a disappointment to him. I never knew about that.
“I believe that when you do something wrong, that is when people get hurt or feel disappointed. But I have done nothing wrong. If there is an issue to be discussed, I will do that at the right time. I’m still cool with Papa (Kaywa) and I’m sure about that. I still talk to him”.
Lasmid
Also, Lasmid said he was not forced to give glowing tribute to his former boss Kaywa on the night of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to him, all he said in his acceptance speech were things that came from his heart.
