After becoming the first Nigerian to cover Rolling Stone’s Future of Music magazine, Rema took to the stage in Autinus to thrill the audience with his hit songs.
The singer dazzled the crowd with a performance of his smash hit singles including ‘Dumebi,’ ‘Woman,’ and ‘Calm Down’.
2025 has been a busy one for the Nigerian hitmaker whose single ‘Baby (Is It A Crime)’ is so far the most streamed Nigerian song of 2025 on Spotify.
Rema is also expected to hit the road later in the year as he will be embarking on the ‘HEIS’ tour where he will headline several notable venues across North America and Europe including a return to the iconic O2 Arena which he previously sold out in 2024.
Other notable venues the artist will be headlining include the 19K capacity Madison Square Garden in New York on May 3, 2025, before heading to Canada for two stops.

He will perform at the 10K capacity Place Ball on May 10, 2025, and at the Scotia Bank Arena the next day.
The Afrobeats artist will be at the 7K Carroponte Hall in Milan on June 14, 2025, before heading to the 6K Afas Hall on July 20, 2025.
In a landmark move, Rema will make two stops in Japan with a headline performance at the 10K capacity Okinawa Arena on July 20, 2025, and 7 days later, he will thrill fans at the Mushashino Hall which seats 10,000 people.
Rema’s Japan concert isn’t his first in Asia as the superstar has previously performed in India including in the famous Ambani wedding. In 2024, he also performed in Malaysia in a feat that captured his status as a global superstar.
Rema Addresses Rumors About Him Online

Afrobeats star, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, addressed some of the strangest rumors he has encountered about himself online.
In an interview, the artist revealed that he has been accused of being part of the Illuminati.
“Random stories have been made up about me being Illuminati, worshipping the devil, and drinking blood.”

The singer admitted that these wild claims have cost him a significant number of fans, emphasizing how easily people believe what they see on the internet.
Rema also sheds light on the significance of the pendants he wears, explaining that they are a tribute to his late father and brother.
He emphasized that his jewelry holds deep personal meaning rather than any sinister symbolism, addressing misconceptions about his style and image.
“It was just a dark moment that changed my life, so I always wear this chain—mostly because I never want to forget. While any craziness or any fantastic shit is happening, I always remind myself, ‘Know the struggles you came from,’ because, for real, people be forgetting.”

The singer further revealed that he is not open to having children outside of marriage. While he clarified that he doesn’t condemn promiscuity, the ‘Ozeba’ crooner emphasized that he is an intentional man who carefully navigates his choices.
Rema, who made history as the first Black African artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, shared his thoughts.
“I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to get bigger and become a whole empire if we can. And then neither do I want to wait for it to become a mistake before I decide to be a father.”

Rema also opened up about his relationship with fellow Afrobeats star Ayra Starr and South African singer Tyla. He said: “Ayra’s family, for sure, and Tyla’s family. We’re good friends because I’ve been friends with Tyla even before everything.”
