Triller-Global music video and talent discovery platform, Triller, will be hosting a special concert to celebrate World Music Day today, 21 June.

Sensational Ghanaian music artist, Kidi

A representative of EMPIRE, an American distributing, records and, publications incorporation, has disclosed the reason why they selected Ghanaian hip life and afro beats artist, Kidi, for their recent deal.

Speaking in an interview with an Accra-based radio station, monitored by the Vaultz Media (TVM), the representative revealed that they have been monitoring Kidi for a very long time and realized his music doesn’t only resonate in the local terrain but also, across the borders of Ghana. She also disclosed that the deal they have with the ‘Say cheese’ hit maker is not time limited as it is subject to review anytime for as long as possible.

“Kidi is very lovable and makes music that can cross way beyond Ghanaian shores. His personality is also very sellable. We have our eyes and ears everywhere, we have known of Kidi way before hand as someone in the music space…EMPIRE already had eyes on Kidi, we just keep watch. We are looking at taking him as far as he is willing to go. This deal is not a timed thing. It is based on certain amount of projects that we are going to do together, and then we have the options to go back into it for a very long time”.

Throwing more light on the deal, Kidi who was also present at the interview clarified that the deal he signed didn’t mean he was leaving his current record label he is signed unto as people presumed. According to him, he signed the deal together with Lynx, EMPIRE and MadeinENY to widen his global audience and push him internationally.

Ghanaian award-winning musical artist, Kidi.

Speaking on his latest music ‘Spiritual’, he noted that the video which was released earlier this week  is trending at number one on YouTube as it has over half a million views. He also took the opportunity to thank his fans. According to him, he wouldn’t be where he is now without their support.

“The music is just going wild, and the feedback has been amazing. This is what we as musicians always want; the undying support of Ghanaians. When those who are not from around here [Ghana] come in and wants to support us let us also rally behind them and push our music far”.

Touching on the recent brawls happening in the music industry, Kidi advised the industry players saying: “like I always say, this industry is very small, it is not a big industry. Therefore, we shouldn’t be fighting here and there, let’s not do that. There is always a way to solve an issue amicably where there will be no need for you to go and sit in public and vent out your anger for the whole world to know…it is not important or needed. If there is an issue, let’s just try and solve it back door”.
