Controversies surrounding #NoPressure album
It is worth mentioning that Sarkodie’s most talked-about album ‘No Pressure’ came with its own controversies.
The ‘No Pressure’ album was set to be released some weeks ago however, Sarkodie disappointed his fans after he postponed the release date that was scheduled for 9th July 2021.
He revealed that due to some circumstances beyond his control, he was forced to postpone the release of the much-anticipated album. He later communicated a new date to his fans when he promised to release the album no later than 30th July 2021.
This got his fans and some Ghanaians talking as they speculated that he may not be done with the album and is probably engaged with other business.
That notwithstanding, brows were raised when Shatta Wale recently threw his weight behind Sarkodie for the release of the ‘No Pressure’ album.
As ‘SarkNation’ were anticipating the release of the album, Shatta Wale urged his SM fans and the whole of Ghana to also support his “brother” because when Sarkodie wins, Ghana also wins.
Shatta Wale in a Twitter post wrote: “Let’s all support it… If sark wins, Ghana wins #NoPressureAlbum#SHAXI”.
There were several mixed reactions following Shatta Wale’s tweet. One main reason being that Shatta and Sarkodie are at loggerheads. Some questioned if the ‘beef’ between them was finally over.
Well, prior to Shatta Wale’s support, Sarkodie asked his fans to support Shatta Wale’s latest business, ‘Shaxi’. Some people therefore noted that maybe Shatta Wale is only returning the favor.
