International Gospel musician and lead Pastor of the RockHill Church, Sonnie Badu has revealed that he intends to write 24 books this year.
In a video that is making rounds on social media, the ‘Baba God’ hitmaker is sighted disclosing that the initial plan was to write 12 books. However, he has reconsidered that plan and will instead be publishing 24 of them.
“Those who understand it better, get it better. The reason why I am where I am and achieved so much and I say this with a lot of pride is because I have worked very hard. Still working very hard, still writing. This year I am to write 12 books, but I changed my mind to make it twenty-four books. So, still building it because it’s very important that in life we learn from those who have gone ahead of us in life”
Commenting on the social media trolls over his allegedly “fake” educational qualifications, Sonnie Badu warned that those people should be careful with their claims. He also revealed that he is not yet done with his Education as he plans to study and bag a Ph.D. in Theology.
“I don’t have a problem if somebody comes up to me to explain. But, when somebody goes out and misquote you, I don’t back out you know me. I roar back. Those doing this, be careful. It’s not anybody you play with.
“I am actually working on my Ph.D. in Theology as well. I am done with Philosophy; I’m doing my Theology. I just don’t come out to tell the world this is what I am studying. But if you see me, you know this man is a very educated man… I really love education”.
Sonnie Badu criticized over educational qualifications
Sonnie Badu has received several backlashes on Twitter in the past few days. This follows the artist taking to social media to announce his new educational qualification he claimed to have achieved within four months.
However, netizens welcomed the news with mixed reactions. Most of them questioned the authenticity of the said degrees. Meanwhile, others queried why a ‘man of God’ is overly interested in gaining worldly recognition.
Reacting to the critics, Dr. Badu, who identified himself as a lion, emphasized that it is fruitless to respond to frogs.
“When they don’t understand the frequency of your grace and your hard work behind the scenes, they bring their own Ph.D. (pull him down). LIONS DONT RESPOND TO FROGS”.
He also posted some photos of his graduation ceremony in the company of some colleagues.
