Sammy Flex Defends Shatta Wale Amid His Rants
Sammy Flex, manager of Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale clarified his artiste’s rants and agitations on stage during the recent Abeka Salahfest.
Two of the top Dancehall and Reggae musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, were billed to perform on Thursday, April 11 at the Abeka Salahfest.
However, Shatta Wale was left furious and agitated after Stonebwoy boycotted the event despite waiting for several hours to perform after Stonebwoy had done his performance.
Sammy Flex disclosed the reason for Stonebwoy’s boycott, claiming that organizers of the event had informed them that due to Shatta Wale’s inclusion in the concert, Stonebwoy decided to boycott despite earlier agreement to perform.
“The organisers had given us 2am as time for performance because they said Stonebwoy would perform first for us to follow. So, it delayed our performance because it was around 3 am before I called Shatta and informed him that from the look of things, the organizers do not think that Stonebwoy will perform.
“From the conversations with the organisers, they made us understand that it was because Shatta was included in the event that is why Stonebwoy did not come to perform.”

According to Sammy Flex, there were prior agreements for Stonebwoy to perform earlier after which Shatta Wale would follow suit with his performance. However, Stonebwoy did not show up at the concert.
A viral video on social media shows Shatta Wale lamenting about the incident during his performance on stage.
Shatta Wale also made some unsavory comments against Stonebwoy for boycotting the concert.
Responding to his artiste’s [Shatta Wale’s] rants on stage, Sammy Flex noted that Shatta Wale’s furiousness stemmed from the background information he had received concerning his colleague’s boycott of the event.
He stressed that his artiste could not fathom why Stonebwoy would do such a thing particularly when he had performed at Nima Salahfest the same night of the event.
“’We are doing this for our fans, so if you claim because of me, you will not perform, what does it mean?’ I am sure that is what he was addressing. Sometimes when you have some background information to some issues, how you may attack it would be different.”
