Head of Communications at Burniton Music Group, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, has refuted claims that Stonebwoy’s management recently stopped a DJ from playing Shatta Wale’s songs at 2025 Accravaganza.
Vida Adutwumwaa dispelled the allegations, asking DJ Lord to apologise.
“What it is now is that we are just tired of all these unfounded allegations, always involving Stonebwoy’s brand, trying to smear him. As though every successful story that comes his way has to be smeared with some bad news. We are just tired.
“We are giving DJ Lord the opportunity to apologise. And whatever agenda it is, it is up to him and whoever else. But that smear campaign against Stonebwoy, and we are not going to take it any longer because, if you know where the brand is headed, we don’t want to be meddling in trivialities of this nature.”

She emphasised that Stonebwoy’s brand is focused on promoting its agenda to the world and will not be distracted by any allegations.
“And it will amaze you how deep or how far this conversation has ended and people, throwing tantrums, insults everywhere. We are a very focused brand, focused on excellence, focused on pushing the agenda to the world. So we are just tired of all this smear campaign.”

Vida noted that every time there is something positive to celebrate about Stonebwoy, someone comes up with negative stories to smear his brand.
In the meantime, DJ Lord has revealed that no member of Stonebwoy’s team approached him to stop playing Shatta Wale’s song; he said it was rather a message that was relayed to him by a Guinness Ghana official.
Vida has, therefore, dared DJ Lord to reveal the name of the person who instructed him to make the allegations against Stonebwoy. “So, Lord, whoever gave you that instruction, I have dared you already to put out the name after that, apologize duly to the Brightstone Boy because you know deep down that no….” she mentioned.
The head of Communications at Burniton Music Group has made it clear that Stonebwoy’s camp will no longer tolerate unfounded allegations and smear campaigns against their brand.
On April 1, 2025, DJ Lord OTB took to his social media handles to recount how a management member of Stonebwoy ordered him to stop playing Shatta Wale’s song at the Accravaganza programme when he was on duty as disc jockey.
DJ Lord’s Manager Clarifies Accravaganza Allegations Against Stonebwoy
Contrary to the notion that Stonebwoy’s management ordered DJ Lord OTB to stop playing Shatta Wale’s songs at the 2025 Accravaganza, the DJ’s manager clarified that it was rather a third party that relayed the information to them.
Joojo, DJ Lord’s manager, explained that they played Shatta Wale’s songs before receiving a message from a top official of Guinness Ghana, the sponsors of the programme.
“So I think we played like two Shatta Wale songs like back-to-back, I actually saw a lady walk up. I know the lady, not personally, but I know who the lady is.”
Joojo
According to Joojo, the lady in question relayed a message expressing their dissatisfaction with Shatta Wale’s songs. “The lady walked up to the stage with her phone and opened a chat that Stonebwoy’s management is not happy with the Shatta Wale back-to-back, so if we can minimise it,” he noted.
Joojo stated that he whispered the message to DJ Lord, and they adjusted their set accordingly.
Asked how many Shatta Wale songs they had played before receiving the message, Joojo stated: “It was two, back to back. I was there, I saw everything. He played two songs, and that was all.”
