Popular Ghanaian internet comedian, Teacher Kwadwo, has disclosed that he is “very petty” and as such, has vowed to retrieve all the computers and television sets he bought for his former school where he worked as a teacher.

This decision follows reports of Teacher Kwadwo receiving a sack letter from the Ghana Education Service for professionally misconducting himself.

Teacher Kwadwo who was utterly unhappy about the sack letter took to his Facebook page and wrote: “I am going to take all the COMPUTERS and TVs I gave to the school. Ghana Education Service, buy some for them”.

Teacher Kwadwo Confirms Receiving Sack Letter

Teacher Kwadwo confirmed reports that he was fired by the Ghana Education Service. He taught at Akrofuom D/A Primary School in the Ashanti Region. He was a primary four teacher. He was speculated to have been fired months ago but he kept mute about it. However, on Monday December 21, 2021 he let the cat out of the bag on his official Facebook page.

After confirming the news, he called out the authorities, alleging that his dismissal was planned a long time ago, but they were looking for an opportunity to execute it.

Teacher Kwadwo went on to claim that he will be taking legal action against the Ghana Education Service.

“Okay, so for some ‘PROFESSIONAL’ reasons I can’t post the content of the letter here but all that is in the letter is that, My District Education Office through Ghana Education Service says that, they have sacked me. Their reasons are very funny. This is going to be the 1st ever TEACHER vs GES fight in the history of Ghana Education. Y’all relax because it will be all over the news soon”,

Teacher Kwadwo further claimed: “The SACKING letter that was given to me yesterday is dated ‘27 October 2021.’ Please what was yesterday’s date? Meaning, they have typed the letter long time and was looking for an opportunity but since they don’t get it, they have given it to me like that”.

However, he stressed that despite the fact that he will miss his students, he will not be returning to the classroom anymore.

GES Sacks Teacher Kwadwo

In a letter that was leaked on social media, the Ghana Education Service fired Teacher Kwadwo over some “professional misconducts”.

According to the sack letter, Teacher Kwadwo allegedly absented himself from school more than 50 times during the last academic year. The letter also revealed that he also refused to produce lesson notes and exhibited the highest insubordination towards the District Director and the School Improvement Support Officer, hence, his dismissal.

Before the sack letter, Teacher Kwadwo had lunched a social media campaign, #FIXGES, against the Ghana Education Service (GES). He lamented on the poor conditions teachers were in as well as the intimidation being meted out to teachers by the GES.

Teacher Kwadwo was worried that the GES introduced a new curriculum, but for two years, schools and teachers across the country were not provided with textbooks to enable them implement the curriculum.
