THOSE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT US ARE TRASHING US – KIDI LAMENTS OVER BACKLASH OF GHANAIAN ARTISTES

Oswald Samsung Kidi has disclosed a major partnership with two international music distribution and entertainment companies Made in East New York (MadeinENY) and EMPIRE.

Ghanaian singer and entertainer, Kidi.

Ghanaian highlife musician, Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as Kidi, has in a post registered his displeasure towards some Ghanaians and music lovers for the unwarranted backlash that they are reigning on some Ghanaian artists.

This follows a section of Ghanaians on social media trolling some musicians especially Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy after the Grammys last night. According to these social media users, they [Ghanaian musicians] are not producing standardized music to penetrate the World market like the Nigerian musicians and therefore are not making appearances on such huge stages much less of winning a global award.

The ‘Say Cheese’ hitmaker took to social media, specifically his Twitter page, to express how disappointed he is.  He further lamented and questioned why they can’t rejoice in someone’s happiness without condemning another.

Since last night the negativity I've seen on here is mind boggling. Same people supposed to be supporting and pushing us ? Damn, we can't be happy for one man without trashing the next man?

As if Kidi’s tweet fell on deaf ears since other tweeps who sighted his tweet backlashed him the more. A few others who were on his side noted that he shouldn’t pay any attention to what they are saying. Some comments from his post read:

U think this is funny 🤔 do you understand all the words burna boy use in his songs ? If you do u will know this wole s3b3 saf Dey make sense pass .. music has it own language it doesn’t matter what u say sometimes

NIGERIAN ARTISTS WIN GRAMMYS

Meanwhile, the Lynx Entertainment signee is one artiste who has been tipped to win Grammys for the country in the next years to come because of how fast he has grown especially in the international market scene and his style of music.

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards took place last night and no Ghanaian artist was nominated. Meanwhile, two of Nigeria’s A-list artists took home two Grammy awards. Nigerian superstar, Wizkid won ‘Best Music Video’ for his role in ‘Brown Skin Girl. He won the award alongside Beyonce, who owns the song and featured artists, Saint Jhn and Blue Ivy.
