Mahama Expresses Unhappiness About Akufo-Addo’s Failure
Former President John Mahama, took to stage, to address the people present at the campaign launch, after speeches made by his comrades. He said, he was not happy, that President Akufo-Addo’s government had failed to deliver on their promises, to Ghanaians.
For him, it has never been his wish, that his political opponents will fail. He said it is his vision, that Ghana will develop, irrespective of who is in power. Former President Mahama, said this whilst launching his campaign bid, to vie for the flagbearer position of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), in Ho; today.

John Dramani Mahama, said Ghana needed an experienced leader, now than ever, than to entrust the country’s governance to someone who wants to experiment with his leadership skills. He said the country’s economy had been destroyed, due to systemic mismanagement, by the Akufo-Addo-led government. For him, everyone in government now, is running away from taking responsibility of the government’s failure.
Mr. Mahama, said that for him, the 2024 general elections, is the most critical moment of the country’s political life. He claimed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), was not seeking political power, in order to repeat the mistakes of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) but to be better than before.
He appealed to some of the party members, who are not happy with what the New Patriotic Party (NPP), had done to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members and therefore, wanted the NDC party to pay them [the NPP] back, in a similar fashion should they win power in 2024, to desist from thinking like that and instead, prioritize the overall interest of the party.
“There is no need to seek for political power to repeat NPP’s mistakes,” he said. Former President Mahama, made these remarks, while launching his campaign bid.
