The central bank of Ghana invites prospective tenderers to tender for the supply of IT items to the Bank. According to the statement, the BOG is using part of its budget allocation for 2020 to fund the payments for the items.
“The Bank of Ghana intends to apply part of its budget for 2020 to fund eligible payments under the contract for the supply of Information Technology items for the Bank”.
The invitation letter was signed by the secretary of the central bank, MS. Sandra Thompson, on the 24th of August 2020. The list of items includes Computer Laptops, IT Equipment, IT Equipment-Kits, Printers and Scanners with a delivery period of 90 days. The statement indicated that Tenderers may quote for one or all the lots.
The statement reads;
“The Bank of Ghana therefore invites sealed Tenders through National Competitive Tendering for the supply of the above-mentioned items. Tendering will be in accordance with the National Competitive Tendering Method (NCT) procedures as specified in the Public Procurement Act 2003, (ACT 663) as Amended and the Guidelines of the Public Procurement Authority of the Republic of Ghana.
“Tenderers shall quote for all quantities in the lot. Tenders not offering all quantities in the lot shall be declared non-responsive. Interested eligible suppliers may obtain a complete set of Tender documents at the address below from Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 09:00am to 4:00p.m. The document will be available from August 27, 2020 to September 17, 2020 for inspection and purchase.
“The document shall be purchased in person on submission of a written application letter to the address below, and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢200.00) to Account Name and Number: Miscellaneous Income; PL 52078 at the Banking Hall, Bank of Ghana or at any of its branches in the country. The pay-in-slip should be submitted to the Procurement and Transport Office, CPC Building, Complex, 1st Floor, Bank of Ghana, Spintex, Accra.
“All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of not less than Two percent (2%) of the Total Tender Price from a Reputable Bank or Insurance company. The Tender Security shall be in the currency of the Tender”.
The statement adds that the Tenders will be opened, in the presence of the Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend, at 10.30am local time on September 17, 2020, on the 4th Floor of the Bank of Ghana Auditorium.
The statement further indicated that Tenderers shall submit their tenders with the following documents: Valid Certificate of Incorporation/Registration, Valid Certificate to Commence Business, Valid Tax Clearance Certificate, Valid SSNIT Certificate, Valid VAT Certificate, Valid Public Procurement Authority Certificate, Valid and Manufacturer’s Authorization.
It adds that the Tenders shall be valid for a period of 120 days after the deadline for tender submission. It however, cautioned that Late submissions shall be rejected.
