The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama is set to commence a two-day campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region on the 27th and 28th of August, 2024, continuing his efforts to secure victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The tour, dubbed #Mahama4Change2024, according to Joyce Bawah Mogtari Esq., in a statement, is designed to introduce the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, “Resetting Ghana,” to the people of Greater Accra, with a focus on engaging directly with the communities and presenting the party’s vision for the future.
“The two-day #Mahama4Change2024 tour will take the NDC leader to seven constituencies to share his vision, proposals, policies, and programmes outlined in the NDC 2024 Resetting Ghana manifesto”.

Among several engagements, Lawyer Mogtari indicated that former President Mahama will meet with traditional leaders, community stakeholders, the youth, women groups, traders, and other players in the informal sector of the economy and Ghanaians in general.
On the first day of the tour, Joyce Bawah Mogtari Esq. stated that the National Democratic Congress flagbearer will visit the Ada, Sege, and Ashaiman constituencies, where he is expected to meet with traditional leaders, community stakeholders, youth groups, women’s organizations, traders, and other key players in the informal sector.
The second day according to Mrs Mogtari will see former President John Dramani Mahama continue his campaign in the Amasaman, Domeabra Obom, Trobu, and Anyaa Sowutoum constituencies, further expanding his reach to different parts of the region.
These engagements, she stressed aim to provide a platform for the National Democratic Congress leader to share his proposals, policies, and programs, as outlined in the NDC’s 2024 manifesto.
NDC’S Vision of Resetting Ghana
The opposition National Democratic Congress launched its 2024 Manifesto at the University of Education, Winneba, promising to address the critical challenges facing the country and set Ghana on a path to sustainable development.
The manifesto emphasizes resetting key sectors of the economy, including education, health, infrastructure, housing, and governance.
According to the NDC, the 2024 manifesto is not just a political document but a comprehensive plan to rebuild and restore confidence in Ghana’s institutions and communities.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Campaign Spokesperson for former President John Dramani Mahama, in earlier statement, expressed gratitude to all who participated in the successful launch of the manifesto.
In her statement, she highlighted the importance of the manifesto as the foundation for the NDC’s vision to reset Ghana.
“This is just the beginning of the process of securing change to reset Ghana, and I invite the good people of Ghana to join the NDC as we work together to build the Ghana we want together”.

Joyce Bawah Mogtari Esq., who doubles as the Special Aide to the NDC flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama further outlined several ambitious projects aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.
These, she noted include the construction of a Children’s Hospital and Specialized Fertility Cente, aimed at enhancing healthcare services for children and addressing fertility issues in the country.
Mrs Mogtari also pointed out that the next NDC’s administration would undertake the development of Modern Hospitals in Bawku, Yendi, and other towns across the country.
She stressed that the construction of these hospital projects will be based on needs assessments to ensure that critical healthcare infrastructure is available where it is most needed.
Additionally, Mrs Mogtari mentioned that the next NDC administration would establish a modern Dialysis Center in the Upper East Region to provide much-needed services to patients with kidney-related ailments in the region.
She also outlined the NDC’s commitment to establishing the Youth Cocoa Farming Project aimed at empowering the youth and boosting Ghana’s cocoa production, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for young farmers.
Lastly, Mrs Mogtari reechoed the party’s flagbearer former President Mahama’s plan to ensure the realignment of the Exim Bank to better serve the economic needs of the country by providing financial support to key sectors and industries.
She emphasized that the NDC’s manifesto is centered on social and impactful policies designed to reset and improve Ghana.
“In 2025, the NDC will reset the economy, Reset Education, Reset Health, Reset Infrastructure and housing, and Reset the constitution to build confidence in our democracy and restore confidence in our institutions and communities. The real momentum of the good people of Ghana is with the NDC and John Dramani Mahama”.

She urged Ghanaians to stay engaged and informed as the campaign progresses, promising that the NDC is fully committed to delivering on its promises once in office.
