I Will Do All I Can- Mahama

John Dramani Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has promised that a future government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) under his Presidency, will reward all the women organizers of the party, especially those who will be able to meet the target set for them in the 2024 general elections.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer hopeful claimed NDC women are going to be rewarded with contracts under the National School Feeding Programme to cook for the school children.

Interacting with delegates of the NDC in Nanton as part of his campaign to be elected flagbearer of the party for the 2024 polls, John Dramani Mahama also assured the youth of the party that they are going to benefit from recruitment into the Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Immigration Service and all forms of security services in the nation.

“We are also going to reward you and so any branch that gets the target votes that we are going to give, all the nine-member executives, we are going to give you a very handsome reward so that we can work hard. Whatever we are going to do for Ghanaians, you will also get your fair share. So if we are going to recruit young people to go into the Armed Forces, into the Police, Immigration, Prison Service and Fire Service, we will come and take you; our young people and you also go and work in those services.

“If we are hiring school feeding caterers, our women organizers too know how to cook, we will come and take our women organisers and you also go and cook for the primary school children and make some money for yourselves. And so, you are going to get your fair share of everything the country has to offer.”

Sam George Claims Duffuor Is Not Befitting To Go Against Mahama

Samuel Nartey George, the Ningo Prampram Lawmaker avers that former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, who is campaigning to be elected flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not the match of former President John Dramani Mahama, in the contest for the NDC presidential candidate, ahead of the 2024 polls.

Sam George said Mahama was a Vice President and President of Ghana who achieved a lot, unlike Dr. Duffuor who served as Finance Minister under the Mills/Mahama administration.

Sam George speaking in an interview, said even if Dr. Duffuor wins the contest, he is going to rely heavily on the achievements of Mahama to campaign in the 2024 general elections.

“In the very unlikely event, in the 0.0001per cent probability chance that he becomes the flagbearer of the NDC, whose records is he going to campaign on? Is it not John Mahama’s records? Mr Duffuor has no record. He was the Minister in the government when John Mahama was the Vice President…Monkeys play by sizes. he cannot compare himself with Former President Mahama. President Mahama has a track record as president, he has a track record as an appointee of Mr Mahama’s government because Mr Mahama and President Mills formed the government and appointed him.

“Everything he has achieved or claimed to have achieved was at the direction and behests of Prof Mills and Mr Mahama. When it comes to records, Mr Mahama took over the reins of government at a time when we had only one oil field and bequeathed three oil fields to this government. In the area of education, Mr. Mahama started construction of one hundred and twenty-three blocks, of Community Day Senior High Schools, forty-five of them were completed before he left office, and the rest were at various stages of completion.”

Sam George

Sam George boasted that under the Mahama regime, universities were built such as the the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in the Volta Region, the University of Energy and Natural Resources in the then Brong Ahafo Region, among others.
