NIM Leader Affirms Alliance with MFC

Dr Abu Sakara Foster

The founder and leader for the National Interest Movement (NIM), Dr Abu Sakara Foster has affirmed his outfit’s alliance with the founder and leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen to contest the December 7 polls.

Dr Abu Sakara Foster in a press statement emphasized the inclusive nature of the alliance, highlighting the integral role of various entities within it.

The leader of the National Interest Movement further stated that while specific details regarding the alliance’s membership are set to be unveiled in a forthcoming and subsequent press statement, both parties are very committed to working towards the launch of the alliance scheduled for April 17th.

“A statement released by M4C announced the conclusion of an agreement that will form the basis of the Alliance championed by M4C in partnership with the National Interest Movement.

“It stressed that other entities were an integral part of this Alliance, and details will be given in a proper press release next week pending the launch of the Alliance on April 17th”.

Furthermore, Dr Abu Sakara Foster indicated that the perceived premature announcement of the alliance by the leader of the Movement for Change was a result of some peculiar external factors necessitating a proactive approach to prevent any misrepresentation of the alliance’s narrative.

Dr Foster underscored the importance of curbing potential sabotage efforts from both internal and external sources, noting the resistance that could arise against attempts to establish a credible alternative in Ghana’s political landscape.

Expressing confidence in the alliance’s prospects, Dr. Foster indicated that there are ongoing discussions with numerous entities and individuals who are very eager to join the alliance immediately after its launch.

He further stated that the alliance’s structure has been designed to accommodate growth, with clear guidelines and conditions ensuring the fulfilment of minimum criteria by prospective members.

Moreover, the founder of the National Interest Movement, Dr Abu Sakara Foster asserted that the leadership of his movement has been actively involved in the initiative for months, participating in several meetings to lay the foundation for the alliance.

He noted that with the groundwork now laid, efforts will be directed towards inviting associate members and sister organizations to join the alliance, aiming for a transformative impact on Ghana’s political landscape.

Partnership of Candidates

However, Dr. Foster refrained from speaking on the potential candidates who would partner with the leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen ahead of the December 7 polls.

He rather stated that the immediate focus of the two groups is how it can work on inviting more Ghanaians to the alliance’s purpose, objectives, and potential to add value to the country’s political regime.

In addition, Dr Foster noted that the alliance seeks to bring a renewed sense of hope among Ghanaians who have almost given up on the possibility of a credible alternative in the 2024 elections.

He expressed optimism over what he described as several personalities of substance and renown who make the leadership of the alliance, having the potency to invigorate the political discourse and offer a viable choice to the electorate in the December 7 polls.

Dr Foster concluded his statement by expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for the support received thus far and urged all citizens to belief in the alliance’s mission, echoing the sentiment of “Nil Despradum” (Never give up hope) and reaffirming the commitment to the ongoing struggle until victory is achieved.
