Omane Boamah Urges Ghanaians To Rally Behind NDC To Defeat NPP

Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah

The Director of Election and IT of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the party to unseat the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 general elections.

The former Communications Minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration in a Facebook post on Saturday, December 30 2023 predicted doom for the country if the New Patriotic Party wins the 2024 general elections.

According to Dr Omane Boamah, the New Patriotic Party administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has completely failed to deliver on its mandate given to them by Ghanaians over the past seven years.

“The year 2024 is fewer hours closer than you could ever imagine. I wish you good health, victory, and fulfilment. On December 07, 2024, defeating the incompetent Akufo-Addo Bawumia NPP government to restore Ghana to good health to develop a 24-hour economy for well-paying jobs must be a patriotic duty to every Ghanaian who seeks the good of Ghana and its future.

“4 More Years of this incompetent Akufo-Addo   Bawumia NPP government led by the failed economist will be an unmitigated putrefied disaster. NPP has done enough damage to Mother Ghana”.

Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah

Dr Omane Boamah further argued that even though all political polls and surveys appear to affirm the National Democratic Congress’s victory in the 2024 general elections, there is still a lot of work to be done.

He admonished the members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress and all Ghanaians who want to see change in the 2024 general elections to demonstrate resilience to protect their vote in the 2024 general election.

According to him, the New Patriotic Party is bent on doing everything even the impossible to win the 2024 general election hence Ghanaians and members of the National Democratic Congress must be vigilant throughout the 2024 electoral processes.

“But victory will not descend to Ghanaians on a silver platter just as freedom did not descend to Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and Ghanaians in 1957. This is because the NPP will seek to hang onto power illegally. We must resist this! We must yearn and fight for victory with the last joule of energy in us because Ghana must be saved”.

Omane Boamah Laments Over Economic Hardship Under NPP

Explaining the reason Ghanaians should vote against the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 general election, the Director of Election and IT for the opposition National Democratic Congress Dr Omane Boamah lamented over the economic hardships the New Patriotic Party administration has imposed on Ghanaians due to their economic mismanagement.

He argued that due to the government mismanagement of the economy which led to a domestic debt exchange programme, several Ghanaians including pensioners have lost their savings.

Dr Omane Boamah noted that the situation has impoverished the majority of Ghanaians who lost their savings

“We need a Ghana without financial haircuts! We need a Ghana that will not sink millions of dollars into a dubious national cathedral project only to create the world’s most expensive hole whilst Ghanaians suffer socio-economic hardships! I urge you to focus, think deeply; act strategically and purposefully, and prepare for 2024”

Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah

The former Minister of Communication concluded by calling Ghanaians to embrace togetherness and unity in 2024 and beyond to build a prosperous and better Ghana for all.

Meanwhile, Professor Godfred Alufar Bokpin, an economist and lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School has predicted that the 2024 election-related activities will cause Ghana’s economy to see some positive growth.

According to Prof. Bokpin, the elections will result in a rise in the demand for hospitality services, particularly for hotels and automobile rentals which will ultimately boost the economy’s liquidity and provide some respite for the people of Ghana.
