The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the New Patriotic Party delegates in the Bantama Constituency to retain its Member of Parliament, Francis Asenso Boakye as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections.
President Akufo-Addo indicated that he would be very disappointed if the delegates in the Bantama Constituency failed to endorse Mr Asenso Boakye as the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections.
He noted that the Honorable Asenso Boakye as the former Deputy Chief of Staff and current Minister of Water, Works and Housing under his administration has demonstrated significant commitment and dedication towards work and it would therefore be unfortunate if he is not retained as the Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party in the Bantama Constituency.
“It will hurt me so much if the people of Bantama throw him away. Give him the opportunity to represent you again and he will come and continue the good job he has been doing”

President Akufo-Addo in his address during the commissioning of the ‘Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Community Library and Technology Hub’ in Bantama eulogized Mr Asenso Boakye, for his sterling service to his administration during the first term as the Deputy Chief of Staff.
According to President Akufo-Addo, some workers at the Jubilee House still mention the name of the Bantama Member of Parliament someone who is very dedicated to his work.
”Thanks for grooming Asenso-Boakye for me. He does everything appropriately. He will always bring you good news whenever I send him to do something on my behalf. He became the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Jubilee House and to date, people still call his name and praise him for his hard work”
