Chief of Coalition and Global Progams at Every Woman Treaty, Nalja Ayoubi, has revealed that Taliban has set a woman ablaze, blaming her for bad cooking.
According to Nalja, the Taliban fighters forced the woman to cook for them and when she did exactly that they further accused her for being a bad cook.
“I have received few examples of unfortunately bad behavior and violence against women particularly. One of the examples just happened yesterday that a woman was put on fire because she was accused of bad cooking for Taliban fighters.”

Nalja, who doubles as a former Afghan judge and a woman right activist stated that the incident occurred in North east of Afghanistan.
She also indicated that in the past few weeks, young women had been shipped into neighboring countries in coffins to be used as sex slaves.
According to Nalja, the Taliban fighters compel the families of young daughters to marry their children to them.
Similarly, a woman who is a student of a university in Kabul and also a member of Hazara minority, which has experienced cruel treatments by the Taliban, told reporters about how her dreams have been substituted with fears.
“It’s something that I can’t put into words, honestly. Everything that I dreamed of, everything that I have ever worked for, my dignity, my pride, even my existence as a girl and my life are all in danger. Who knows how long it would take them to come and search house-by-house and take girls, probably rape them. I may have to kill myself when they come to my home. I’ve been talking to my friends; this is what all of us are planning to do. Death is better than being taken by them. We are all scared and we are scared to our bones.”

Taliban Takeover in Afghanistan
10 days after Taliban took over first province in Afghanistan, they were already at the capital city, Kabul.
As a result, over 10,000 Afghans were compelled to run from their homes. While some ran to the airports, others headed for neighboring countries.
Other countries like United States of America and United Kingdom were also forced to extract their diplomatic personnel and other citizens who were present over there.
Reports indicated that, about 600 Afghans were flown into Qatar by a US Air Force plane.
The Afghan President Ashraf Ghani also fled the country as a result just like other citizens did. For instance, the Governor of Afghan Central Bank, Ajmal Ahmady, also fled the country during the weekend.
The Taliban further took over the Afghan Presidential Palace, afterwards.
IMF suspends Afghan’s access to funds
Subsequent to the Taliban takeover, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that Afghanistan will no longer have access to its resources due to lack of clarity over the recognition of its government.
Prior to the IMF suspension of funds, an official from the United States (US) government has disclosed to the media that any asset that Afghanistan has in US will be made inaccessible to Taliban.
The head of the Central Bank, Ajmal Ahmady, who was compelled to flee the country during the weekend, therefore averred, “given that the Taliban are still on international sanction lists, it is expected that such assets will be frozen and not accessible to Taliban.
