King Charles’ coronation yesterday, saw many Royal members and Royals across the world in attendance. Also in attendance, was Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. It was rumored that, he may miss the Coronation, but the judgment of the public was wrong. However, he left the occasion soon after it ended.
Controversies have erupted across U.K that, he was invited to the occasion, just to humiliate him. It was with much clarity that, he was not allowed to wear his official Royal Uniform that he should’ve worn, and that Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, who is surrounded with many controversies, that has brought disrespect to the image of the Monarchy, was allowed to wear his official Royal uniform.
The controversies that surrounds the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, have to do with his recent outburst against the Royal Family, on the treatment they’ve given to his wife, Meghan Markel. He has accused some members of the Royal Family of been racist toward his wife, and that, his father, King Charles III and his brother, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, have refused to intervene into the situation.
His attendance yesterday, saw him sitting at the third role in the Westminster Abbey, far from his brother, which his supporters deems that as a disrespect to the Prince. His sitting position yesterday has been interpreted that, he was invited like normal royal, and if not him being a member of the royal family, would have seen him at a far worst position.
The prince landed without his wife Meghan, who remained in the United States, and departed promptly on a return trip from Heathrow. Following the event, he was not invited to appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
The Divisive Memoir, “Spare”
His attendance was the first time he’s been pictured with his family since his divisive memoir Spare, was published. Prince Harry, who landed in the UK on Friday, returned to Los Angeles on Saturday after boarding a British Airways flight.
He got into a car by himself shortly after the Coronation service ended. The King and Queen were joined on the Buckingham Palace balcony by other working members of the Royal Family 90 minutes later.
The Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry’s wife, remained in Los Angeles with their children, where their son Prince Archie is celebrating his fourth birthday. It was known that, Prince Harry planned to make “every effort to return in time for Archie’s birthday.”
Since the publication of his memoir, relations between Prince Harry and other members of the family have been strained. The book graphically depicted family feuds and conflicts, and he has since admitted to feeling “different” from the rest of his family. Meghan’s choice to decline the invitation was largely interpreted as part of these ongoing, unresolved familial conflicts.
Last month, it was revealed that the King attempted to prevent Prince Harry from suing newspapers for alleged phone hacking. According to court documents, Prince Harry was “summoned to Buckingham Palace” and urged to abandon the proceedings due to the impact on the family.
