Republican candidate, Donald Trump and Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris are making their final campaign push as it remains a matter of hours for the 2024 presidential elections to climax.
They are headed to key battleground states for final campaign sprint.
It is the final day before the US presidential election and the last opportunity for the candidates to deliver their pitch to voters.
The polls continue to show Harris and Trump effectively running neck-and-neck, both nationally and in most swing states.
Trump is closing out what he says will be his last campaign day for the White House with a jam-packed schedule that includes four rallies across three battleground states, namely, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
His first rally will be in Raleigh, North Carolina at 10:00am (15:00 GMT).
His second will be in Reading, Pennsylvania at 2:00pm (19:00 GMT).
He will close the day with a 6:00pm (23:00 GMT) rally in Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the same city he capped off his 2016 and 2020 runs in.
Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance will campaign in four different swing states, specifically Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Harris To Spend All Day In Pennsylvania
On the other hand, Kamala Harris will spend the entire day in Pennsylvania, the battleground state with the most electoral votes and where the candidates are polling neck and neck.
Pennsylvania is a swing state that could decide the election. The stop also comes after a comic at a recent Donald Trump rally suggested that Puerto Rico was “garbage.”
The Democratic candidate will start the day with an event in Scranton, the hometown of President Joe Biden.
After a visit to Scranton, Harris will speak in Allentown, a majority Hispanic city that’s home to tens of thousands of Puerto Ricans, at an event with rapper Fat Joe, whose parents were of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent.
Harris later heads to Reading, where she plans to visit a Puerto Rican restaurant with New York Representative, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro.
Biden is not scheduled to join Harris in Scranton. He’s spent the weekend at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, and is heading to the White House this morning, where he will have a private call with military members involved in fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
Harris will then head to the steel city of Pittsburgh. She will hold a rally featuring performances by DJ D-Nice, Katy Perry and Andra Day.
She will cap off the day with a big rally in Philadelphia, featuring pop star Lady Gaga.
The final event includes remarks from DJ Cassidy, Fat Joe, Freeway and Just Blaze, as well as Lady Gaga, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ricky Martin, The Roots, Jazmine Sullivan and Adam Blackstone, and Oprah Winfrey.
Kamala Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz also has a busy day of campaigning ahead of him.
He will start in St Paul, Minnesota, capital of the state he governs, where he and his wife Gwen Walz will greet their neighbors, before heading to Wisconsin for rallies in La Crosse, Stevens Point and Milwaukee.
At that last rally, they will have Eric Benét as their musical guest.
They will finish the day with a rally in Detroit where they will have even more musical guests, specifically the Detroit Youth Choir, Jon Bon Jovi, and The War and Treaty.
