Keche Andrew, born Andrew Kofi Cudjoe has said that musicians who clearly endorse political candidates and parties do it because they no longer have relevance in the music industry.

Speaking on Kastle Drive with Amansan Krakye, the artist noted that, musicians who endorse political leaders and parties, do it to make ends meet or just to have prominence in the music scene since they have lost their relevance.

“Look at those musicians who openly endorse the political parties, they are not active and relevant in the music industry. Some of them have even stopped doing music so they see it as other means to survive”.

He was also quick to add that his team, thus Keche, was approached by several political parties but they refused since they are not thinking of doing same as other artists and also for the fact that they do not want to end their career abruptly.

“I understand them so I’m not criticizing them, but as for Keche, we’re not looking at ending our career anytime soon. It’s not that no political party approached us but we refused the proposals,” he concluded.
