American rapper and investor, Offset, is being sued by a car rental company, Platinum Transportation Group, for the unexplained disappearance of a 2020 Bentley Bentayga rented car.
In a court document that was obtained by an American publication firm, TMZ, Platinum Transportation Group claims to have drawn up a contract with Offset in May 2020, where he would pay less than $600 per day to rent their new 2020 Bentley Bentayga. The lease was only supposed to last a few days, but Offset kept requesting extensions to his rental period.
Shortly after July 4, Offset informed PTG that he had no clue where their Bentley was, and couldn’t recall who had it last. The Migos member continued making payments until their deal expired on July 25, but once that day arrived, he stopped sending money, even though their car was nowhere to be found. Since Offset was never able to retrieve the car, PTG claims to have filed a police report to find the missing vehicle, but couldn’t produce evidence of the report upon request.
PTG is seeking significant financial damages, arguing that the absence of the Bentley Bentayga has resulted in more than $100,000 in missed revenue. Meanwhile Offset hasn’t yet replied to these claims.
It can be recalled that In December 2020, Offset received a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ from his wife, Cardi B, for his 29th birthday. The car is valued at more than half a million dollars. After hosting friends at a private party, the ‘WAP’ rapper, walked out while covering her husband’s eyes before revealing the surprise gift. Offset who was very excited shared a video of the moment, as he opened his eyes and saw the gift while their friends recorded the moment on their phones.
Meanwhile, in the previous month of that same year, the Migos rapper surprised his wife, Cardi B, with a brand new Rolls-Royce Cullinan, during her 28th birthday party in Las Vegas. The SUV, which starts at $330,000, even came with a car seat embroidered with their daughter Kulture’s name.
Cardi was all smiles as Offset showed off the lavish gift while partygoers chanted, “Take him back!” Despite filing for divorce from her husband that year, Cardi and Offset looked very much like a couple. She even kissed him at one point, they were seen dancing and having fun together.
Earlier that day, He presented his wife with a humongous billboard on behalf of their 2-year-old daughter Kulture. The flashy sign read “Happy Birthday Mommy Love, Kulture” and featured a photo of the adorable mother-daughter pair wearing matching pink outfits, sunglasses, and handbags.
