Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the game as Premier League leaders Manchester City stretched their winning run to 18 games with a 1-0 victory at Arsenal.

Sterling leapt to meet a Riyad Mahrez cross with just two minutes on the clock to give City the lead at the Emirates stadium. He should have had a swift second after a brilliant De Bruyne’s pass put him through on goal but the England forward dribbled into trouble.

Arsenal grew into the contest especially in the second half but were unable to breach the sturdy City defence, leaving the Gunners in mid-table, 11 points off fourth spot and six behind sixth-placed Liverpool.

Everton ended their 24-game winless run at Anfield with a 2-0 win over Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp’s men were inflicted with a fourth straight home defeat.

Everton got off to the perfect start when Richarlison raced through to finish past Alisson in the third minute. Liverpool struggled to get a foothold in the game and their challenge became harder when Captain Jordan Henderson limped off with a groin injury.

Everton, brought on leading goal scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin from the bench to join Richarlison in attack and the England striker won a penalty after a foul by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Sigurdsson slotted home from the spot to seal Everton’s first win against Liverpool since 2010 and their first at Anfield since 1999.

Manchester United secured their first Premier League victory in three games with a 3-1 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford broke the deadlock when he found the near post in the 30th minute but Newcastle deservedly levelled after Allan Saint-Maximin’s half volley flashed beyond David de Gea six minutes later.

Dan James struck in the second half to restore United’s advantage before Bruno Fernandes‘ penalty with 15 minutes remaining put the game out of Newcastle’s reach.

Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard scored as West Ham defeated Tottenham 2-1 in a London derby at the London Stadium.

West Ham scored in the first minutes of the game courtesy Antonio’s fifth goal against Spurs, before Lingard continued his fine form, scoring the Hammers’ second, early in the second half.

Lucas Moura headed in from a corner to give Spurs a lifeline before substitute Gareth Bale’s stunning volley cannoned off the bar and Heung-Min Son’s late effort deflected off the post as David Moyes secured his first victory against Mourinho in the Premier League at the 16th attempt.

Mount after slotting in Chelsea’s equalizer from the spot

Mason Mount’s second-half penalty earned Chelsea a 1-1 draw at Southampton maintaining Thomas Tuchel unbeaten run in charge of the Blues.

The Saints opened the scoring against the run of play thanks to on-loan Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino’s well-taken strike just past the half-hour mark.

However, the visitors deservedly drew level early in the second period when Mount both won and scored a penalty to keep his side fourth in the Premier League.

Traore shot hit the post and rebounded of Meslier to hand wolves victory

Wolves secured back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since October as Illan Meslier’s unfortunate own goal secured a 1-0 victory over Leeds at Molineux.

Meslier had denied the hosts on several occasions during the first half but he was left helpless when Adama Traore’s long-range shot bunced off the crossbar and hit his back to rebound into the net

Patrick Bamford thought he had levelled matters for Leeds when he converted from Tyler Roberts’ pass but he was denied by the offside flag before Rui Patricio made a stoppage time save to deny Helder Costa.

West brom held on for a draw despite early red card to Ajayi

West Brom secured a 0-0 draw at Burnley at Turf Moor despite playing a majority of the game with 10 men after Semi Ajayi was sent off after a deliberate handball that denied Burnley striker Matej Vydra a goalscoring opportunity.

West Brom withstood a Burnley onslaught and turned the game around in a final 20-minute spell. Ainsley Maitland-Niles blazed over, January signing Mbaye Diagne clipped the bar and Matheus Pereira swiped at thin air with the goal at his mercy before seeing a follow-up shot cleared off the line by James Tarkowski.

Lookman celebrates Fulham goal

Fulham gave their survival hopes a huge boost as Ademola Lookman’s strike earned his side a 1-0 victory over relegation rivals Sheffield United.

After a rather dull first half, the deadlock was finally broken in the 61st minute as Joachim Andersen’s long pass released Lookman into the penalty area. The 23-year-old cut inside Ethan Ampadu before firing a low drive through Ramsdale and into the back of the net. The victory sees Fulham move to within three points of out-of –form Newcastle.
