Superstar Kanye West is reportedly spreading rumors about his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
The rapper, who split from his wife, Kim, last year, is allegedly telling people that ‘Suicide Squad’ actor, Pete, “has got AIDS”, with sources claiming the rumor is “nonsense”.
According to reports, sources close to Pete heard the false rumor after controversial DJ Akademiks made the claim during a Twitch live stream.
Pete’s sources confirmed that Kanye, who legally changed his name to Ye, is the perpetrator spreading the rumors.
A source speaking to some media outlets said: “Kanye’s been telling everybody within earshot”.
Kanye’s bizarre claim appears to have caused friction between him and Pete, with TMZ reporting there has been a “few awkward phone calls” between the pair and mutual friends they have, who are said to be “confused” by Kanye’s “childish behavior”.
Sources further mentioned that they are “disturbed” by the fact Kanye is allegedly spreading rumors about “such a serious health issue to try and lash out at Pete”. They also shared Kanye’s “brutal diss track” where he raps: “God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass” and this did not come as a surprise to Pete’s friends.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may have moved on and dating other people now, but the feud between them is far from over. West, in a recent interview, claimed that he made efforts to intercept a laptop that could have otherwise led to a leak of a second sex tape featuring Kim Kardashian and Ray J.
It can be recalled that Kim shot to fame back in 2007 because of an infamous leaked sex tape that featured her and former boyfriend Ray J. The duo had shot it in 2002 and it made its way to various adult sites. Kim had filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment, which distributed the film as ‘Kim Kardashian, Superstar’. She later dropped the suit and settled for a reported US$5 million, allowing Vivid to release the tape.
Kanye claimed that he took efforts to prevent the second leak of another similar tape despite the fact that he is going through an ongoing divorce with the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star.
A day later, Kim Kardashian responded to West’s claims via a spokesperson. While Kim confirmed the existence of the laptop, she denied that it contained any explicit or suggestive video.
A source close to Kim noted that 20 years on, Kim truly wishes to move on from this chapter and focus instead on “the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur, and advocate for justice reform”.
Another source stated that Kim “was and still is truly grateful to Kanye for getting [the laptop] back”.
Kim has moved on from her relationship with Kanye and appears to be living her best, carefree life with new man Pete. However, Kanye has made it public knowledge he wants her back.
In December, he begged for the reality star to “run back to me” during a performance. Instead of saying “Runaway from me baby”, Kanye sang: “I need you to run right back to me.”
The rapper then said: “More specifically Kimberly” in a direct appeal to win his estranged wife back.
It can be recalled that Kim filed for divorce in February last year following six years of marriage. Kanye admitted to cheating with groupies while he was on his Saint Pablo Tour in 2016.
