However, Empress Gifty mentioned that she experienced ill-treatment during a period when she had discovered her musical talent, but her employer failed to comprehend the spiritual aspect of her divine gift and constantly criticized her.

Empress Gifty expressed:

“She [my madam] did not understand the spiritual calling, and she was always complaining. If I start singing, she’ll say I’m making noise. She would prevent me from going to church services, camp meetings, and rehearsals”.

Despite losing interest in the job, Empress Gifty stated that her financially constrained mother encouraged her to persevere, but this situation did not last long until her breakthrough came in the field of music.

“The first time I appeared on TV, she [madam] saw me and called me right after. She was so shocked that I was making it in life”.

Ghanaian Gospel music diva, Empress Gifty dropped ‘Awiey3 Pa’, her first song of the year on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Awiey3 Pa is off her album expected to be released before the end of the year.

Empress Gifty revealed the song which was written by her colleague, Ewura Abena was inspired by Jeremiah 29:11 which says:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”.

Jeremiah 29:11

‘Awiey3 Pa’ preaches a message of motivation that one’s beginning may look troubled, however, with trust in God, the end will look brighter.

The multiple award-winner in the song encourages people not to allow themselves to be troubled by what others do or say because their destiny is in the hands of God and not humans.

According to Empress Gifty, ‘Awiey3 Pa’ is expected to touch many lives.

She said:

“It is my prayer that my first song of the year impacts lives and gives people testimonies”.

Awiey3 Pa was recorded, mixed, and mastered by renowned producer, Shadrach Yawson.

Other contributors to the song are Dominic Quarchie (Lead guitar), Backing vocals by TMC, Tasha and Nana Yaa, and Dan Grahl on Bass Guitar.

Gospel singer, Empress Gifty has been completely torn to shreds over the new song she released.

The single, ‘Awieye Pa’, which was released by Empress on social media, has so far drawn nothing but negative reactions.

Fans have correctly pointed out that the song doesn’t sound too professional and at points, sounds like the Empress is reciting a poem.

One netizen said:

“Excuse me please is it a song or “anwens3m”. Because eiii somethings are for Diana Hamilton only”.
