The fatal collision was caused by a head-on collision between a fuel truck with the license plate WR 2063-10 and a Youtong bus with the plate GT 5866-L. The Forty patients were treated at the Trauma and Specialist Centre in Winneba for injuries of varying severity.

The Effutu politician praised the courage and altruism displayed by the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ambulance Service, and the people that assisted in the rescue operations. He also demanded investigations to lessen the frequency and severity of these fatal crashes on the roadways. “Your unwavering dedication and selflessness in the face of adversity reflect the finest qualities of service and bravery,” he remarked.
