Alan Kyerematen Makes A Case For A Third Force

Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen

The founder and leader of Movement for Change, Mr Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen has urged Ghanaians to consider his candidacy in the 2024 general elections ahead of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party.

Mr Kyerematen accused the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress of failing to develop the country for the past three decades the two political parties have dominated the country’s seat of government.

According to the former Minister of Trade and Industry, the country has suffered severe hardship and underdevelopment under the leadership of the two leading political parties, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.

Speaking to a mass gathering of volunteers in Accra as part of his orientation programme for volunteers for his Movement for Change, the former Trade and Industry Minister accused the two leading political parties in the country, the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party of lacking solutions for the country’s development challenges.

“What new things are they bringing to the table? What is it that they wanted to do and couldn’t do in their time in power? They have nothing special or new to offer apart from the old format of running the government

Alan Urges Ghanaians To Join His Movement For Change

Furthermore, the leader of the Movement for Change and independent presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections called on Ghanaians to fully rally behind his Movement for Change to win the 2024 general elections to restore the country to the path of progress and development.

Mr Kyerematen admonished the youth in the country whom he described as the ‘future leaders of the country’ to join his Movement for Change as he is very committed to bringing the required change the country needs.

According to the former Minister of Trade and Industry, the current state of the country requires a leader who possesses new ideas as well as a new way of doing things to ensure that the country achieves sustainable development.

He noted that among him and the leaders of the two leading political parties in the country, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress for the 2024 general elections, he possesses more qualities than any of them.

According to Mr Kyerematen, the over 150,000 volunteers who offered to join the Movement for Change during its maiden orientation programme in  Accra are a testament to the Movement for Change’s commitment and dedication to take over the helms of affairs of the country in 2025, January 7.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Owusu has indicated that the Vice President and the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr Mahamaudu Bawumia has greater chances of winning the 2024 general elections against the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

According to Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has what it takes to appeal to electorates more than former President John Dramani Mahama.

“There are people who will vote for a party and its symbol without a doubt. However, anyone wishing to evaluate them can do so using their independent and respective roles in the past as a guide, and I am confident that if you pit Bawumia against Mahama, Bawumia will always outshine Mahama based on what they have done in the past, what ideas they have thrown out, how they have helped implement them, and their quality of leadership”.
