Former NPP General Secretary Lauds VEEP For His Sense Of Unity

The former General Secretary and former flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Ing, Kwabena Adjei Agyapong has lauded the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for demonstrating a high sense of leadership.

Speaking to a group of party supporters and members in the Volta Region as part of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ‘Thank You Tour’, the former flagbearer aspirant for the New Patriotic Party indicated that he is supporting the party’s flagbearer in his bid to become the President of Ghana due to his sense of unity.

According to Ing. Kwabena Adjei Agyapong he is very optimistic that with such great attributes, the Vice President’s possesses, it would be beneficial to the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 general elections.

“I was part of the ten people who contested the election and in the end, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia emerged as the winner to lead our party. In such contests, the winners have to be magnanimous in victory and the losers also have to be gracious in defeat. Dr. Bawumia, who won, has been magnanimous and he has demonstrated this by visiting all those who contested with him. Last Friday in Kumasi, four of us were at the same table with him and it was so beautiful. He has demonstrated that he is a unifier and I have also been gracious in defeat, so we are working together to ensure that he wins and the party wins in 2024”.

The former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party further admonished members and supporters of the party in the Volta Region, particularly winners and losers of the party’s December 2 2023 parliamentary primaries in its orphan constituencies to emulate the Vice President in working together to increase the vote of the party in the region.

“Our votes here have been increasing since 1992 and I am very hopeful that with Dr. Bawumia, we will even have more and win next year, in shaa Allah. So let us all come together and work hard for victory.”

Bawumia Tipped To Increase NPP Votes In Volta-Oti Region

Meanwhile, the former Minister of the Volta Region Kofi Dzames has expressed confidence in Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to increase the votes of the New Patriotic Party in both the Volta and Oti Region in the 2024 general elections.

According to him the people of the Volta and Oti Regions are very pleased with the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and under such circumstances, the New Patriotic Party would benefit massively for having the Vice President as its flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.

“Spiritually, Dr. Bawumia has won but we all need to work very hard to make it a reality. The NPP’s votes in the Volta Region have been increasing and I am very confident that with Dr  Bawumia, we will do much better in 2024”.

Moreover, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bui Power Authority urged the New Patriotic Party members and supporters in both Volta and Oti Region to work extra hard to maximize the chances of the party in the 2024 general elections.

He thus admonished members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party in the two regions to refrain from any act of complacency in mobilizing for support and votes for the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The Vice President and the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was accompanied by the party’s National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and Member of Parliament for Efiduase Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie in his ‘Thank You Tour’ to the Volta and Oti Regions.
