Hajia Safia Mohammed, the 1st Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the NPP, has been appointed as the new National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme. She steps into the role previously held by Madam Getrude Quashiga, who passed away on November 12, 2023.
The School Feeding Programme has been a pivotal initiative under the Akufo-Addo administration, aimed at enhancing school enrolment, attendance, and retention. Hajia Safia’s appointment is seen as not only a tribute to the late Madam Quashiga but also as a strategic move to bring in new leadership and energy to sustain and improve the program’s impact.
