Renowned Nigerian actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has issued a blunt warning to fellow industry insiders who resort to buying YouTube views, urging them to refrain from approaching her artists for movie roles.
The filmmaker, known for her prolific production and distribution of movies on YouTube, delivered the stark warning via her Instagram story. She added that they should either grow their channel organically or groom their artists.
“IF YOU KNOW YOU’RE ONE OF THOSE BUYING VIEWS ON YOUTUBE! STOP CALLING MY ARTIST!! I WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU TO DESTROY IT! ONCE THEY APPEAR ON YOUR CHANNEL THEIR RPMS BECOME MESSED UP! I WILL NOT WARN YOU AGAIN! IF YOU CANNOT GROW ORGANICALLY, GROOM YOUR OWN CASTS. THANKS.”

This is coming after Gossip vlogger, Tosin Silverdam recently sparked widespread interest among internet users, asserting that a potential feud is unfolding between actresses Ruth Kadiri and Omoni Oboli.
Ruth Kadiri is the President of Ruth Kadiri 247. She is one of the top producers of movies that stream on YouTube.
The actress has been making waves in the Nigerian film industry, and her excellence speaks volumes about her hardworking nature.
She has written and co-written numerous excellent movies alongside several other renowned screenwriters.
Ruth is one of the best film producers and has played a huge role in the production of Nollywood films such as: Matter Arising, Over the Edge, Somebody Lied, and Memory Lane, among others.
Some of the actors she has groomed over the years are, Eronini Osinachim, Chidi Dike, Genevieve Edwin, Annabel Apara, Vivian Gabriel, and Scott Roberts.
According to Silverdam’s claims, the alleged feud between Kadiri and Oboli stems from the success of their respective movies on YouTube and an incident involving a young actor being recruited by one from the other’s project.
Silverdam further alleged that Ruth Kadiri was displeased when one of her young actors collaborated with Omoni Oboli, prompting her to respond in a decisive manner.
He claimed that Kadiri blocked the actor on social media platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp, even removing him from their group chat.
Actress Called Out
A Facebook user with the handle GBoy de Vibrant called out actress Ruth Kadiri over her kissing scene in a movie.
Ruth Kadiri had reportedly made her stance to never engage in on-screen romance, especially kissing roles.
A snippet from the movie “Rude China,” on the other hand, refutes her earlier claims where she mentioned that she would not engage in any romantic scene.
Ruth Kadiri had declared that she would prefer to give up acting than kiss screen.
She underlined this choice, stating that it was a deliberate one that hadn’t prevented her from landing acting roles.
However, the movie “Rude China” implies a deviation from her declared concept notwithstanding her stance.
“Ruth Kadiri once said that ‘she’d rather quit acting than kiss in a movie’ but this movie title ‘Rude China’ is evident enough that all that were just words one thing I’d love to comment on here is that, there are some movies that if they don’t kiss it’ll not look real and emotional, so I understand why maybe she’ll go against her words by kissing.
