The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has officially announced its plans to organize its flagship Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
The Public Policy Institute, in a statement, indicated that the flagship event is set to provide a vital platform for candidates to articulate their visions, policies, and plans for the country’s development.
“As part of The IEA’s efforts to promote issues-based elections in Ghana, The Institute will once again organize its flagship Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates before the 2024 General Elections in December 2024”.

According to the Institute of Economic Affairs, the debates are designed to facilitate in-depth policy dialogue, allowing Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates of the various political parties in the country to present their viewpoints and programmes comprehensively.
The statement emphasized that the forum will enable candidates to highlight their policy proposals, scrutinize the plans of their opponents, and offer alternative solutions to Ghana’s pressing issues.
