Kofi Tonto, a prominent political aide to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has underscored the importance of Bawumia’s leadership for young voters.

Kofi Tonto emphasized that Bawumia’s policies and initiatives are not only setting the stage for Ghana’s future but are also resonating deeply with the youth, who are seeking a leader capable of propelling the country into the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

“Young people are looking for a leader who can help us catch up to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, somebody who can help us get to that level. Who better than Mahamudu Bawumia?

“Somebody who is talking about the opportunity for a young person to live in Atimpoku; once they have the requisite skills and the requisite infrastructure, they can live in their house in Atimpoku and work for a company in the USA, in Canada or elsewhere.”

Kofi Tonto highlighted Bawumia’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youth, particularly through the development of infrastructure and the promotion of digital services like Mobile Money (MoMo).

Kofi Tonto again cited the example of a young person in the Suhum area who expressed excitement over the drone delivery service in Omenako, showcasing how Bawumia’s initiatives are directly impacting the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.

This vision aligns with the aspirations of many young Ghanaians who seek global opportunities without having to leave their homeland. Bawumia’s promise of creating an environment where the youth can work remotely for international companies, leveraging local skills and infrastructure, resonates deeply with the modern voter.

Kofi Tonto highlighted that Bawumia’s influence is already palpable in the daily lives of many young Ghanaians. He points out several tangible achievements that can be directly attributed to Bawumia’s efforts, setting him apart from previous vice-presidents since Aliu Mahama.

“For the first time, when you go to these areas, you see young people attributing a vice-president to something,” Kofi Tonto remarked.

Enhancing Public Services and Infrastructure

According to Kofi Tonto Dr. Bawumia’s contributions extend beyond technological advancements. He also emphasized improvements in public services and infrastructure

“If a young person sees an ambulance in the constituency provided by the government, that’s a young person who is seeing a direct impact of the vice president.

“If the young person wants to renew their NHIA, if the young person has to go and do something and they need a Ghana Card, that person is impacted.

These improvements in healthcare and administrative services are crucial for young people, ensuring that they have access to essential services and can participate fully in the nation’s socio-economic activities.

Kofi Tonto’s passionate advocacy for Mahamudu Bawumia underscores the vice-president’s commitment to propelling Ghana into a future defined by technological advancement and improved public services.

For young voters, kofi Tonto emphasised that Bawumia represents a leader who not only understands their aspirations but also has a proven track record of delivering tangible benefits that enhance their lives.
