As she was waiting for God to answer, the ‘Watch Me’ singer told her husband and family not to plan anything for her when her birthday was due. She further noted that God later instructed her to go to the people she looked up to in her music career.

After being inspired by them, sung their songs, and earned something from performing their songs in the past, Empress Gifty said it was needful for her to sow a seed in their lives.

Recipients included Georgia Adjei, Diana Hopeson, Mary Ghansah, Abaawa Conney, Mama Ahuga, Abena Serwaa Ophelia, and Cindy Thompson.

The gospel music legends expressed their gratitude to Empress Gifty and later gathered around to pray for her as she celebrated a new year in her life.

Fans and well-wishers took to social media to celebrate Empress Gifty’s generosity and applaud her for spotlighting the contributions of these gospel legends.

Many praised her not only for her musical talent but also for her heart and dedication to giving back to her community.

Ghanaian Gospel singer, Empress Gifty Adorye, popularly known in the entertainment industry as Empress Gifty, revealed the numerous phone calls she receives from people threatening to take the life of her husband.

The Gospel singer, married to popular Ghanaian politician, Hopeson Adorye, said the calls mostly come through late at night.

Gifty’s husband was one of the staunch members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) before he joined Alan Kyerematen’s ‘Movement for Change’.

According to the Gospel singer, the death threats targeted at her husband are serious but she is not bothered much as she is relying on the protection of God.

“I always receive a lot of calls from some people threatening to take the life of my husband. But I understand the work we do, so you need to have spiritual backing. So sometimes when I see or hear these things, I try my best to attack it from the spiritual side by praying.”

The ‘Watch Me’ singer further described her husband as a calm person at home.

She revealed that the only time her husband will speak is when he calls her to tell her how hungry he is. “My husband is a peaceful person who barely talks at home. People shouldn’t be deceived by what they see on television or social media,” Empress Gifty Adorye stated.

Gifty and Mr Adorye tied the knot in 2018.
