It Is Necessary To Double The Production Of High-Precision Weapon- Russian Defense Minister

Russian Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu.

Russian Security Council Secretary, Sergey Shoigu has hailed partnership between Moscow and Beijing, saying that it can serve as an example of cooperation between countries.

Shoigu pointed out at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, that “Without being based on a military and political alliance such as those established during the Cold War, relations between our countries surpass these sorts of intergovernmental ties.”

The top Russian security official noted that Russia-China ties were based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, trust, non-interference in each other’s domestic affairs and support for each other on the issues that the parties found important.

“Russia-China relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation have reached the highest level in history. Russia and China share similar approaches to the key international and regional issues.”

Sergey Shoigu

Also, Shoigu said at the meeting with Wang that Moscow is grateful to Beijing for supporting Russia’s BRICS Chairmanship. “We thank Chinese President Xi Jinping for visiting Russia to take part in the summit,” Shoigu averred.

He noted that he expected to continue a meaningful working dialogue on a wide range of international and regional issues in a constructive atmosphere of trust. “As global instability is increasing, it is increasingly important for us to maintain regular communication by holding special consultations,” Shoigu added.

China To Strengthen Cooperation With Russia

During the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi asserted that China will closely coordinate its actions to ensure global stability with Russia, taking into account the long-term political interests of both countries.

“We are ready to communicate with the Russian side, closely interact, and coordinate actions in response to changes in the international environment.

“Beijing will enhance cooperation with Moscow in a multilateral format to ensure global stability. China intends to maintain high-level progress in relations with Russia and “ensure global strategic stability together.”

Wang Yi

Also, Wang noted that Beijing is ready to boost coordination with Russia on issues related to security and development.

He disclosed that this year marks 75 years of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, adding that President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin have met three times this year, “reaching a number of strategic agreements.”

According to him, the mechanism of strategic security consultations between China and Russia is an important communication platform that serves the diplomatic efforts of the two countries’ leaders.

“Guided by the consensus reached by the two heads of state, we are ready to work with Comrade Shoigu and other Russian colleagues in order to boost our coordination on strategic and general issues related to both parties’ security and development issues, constantly increasing the level of mutual strategic trust between the parties and continuously enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries.”

Wang Yi

Furthermore, the Chinese Foreign Minister noted that his country and Russia stand firm for each other on issues related to vital interests of each of the parties.

He asserted that the two countries constantly deepen political mutual confidence and firmly promote business cooperation in various areas, “having created a new model of relationship between large neighboring countries.”

He stated that Moscow and Beijing “have also contributed much to facilitation of cooperation between the countries of the Global South.”
