Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized Sammy Gyamfi’s recent press conference, describing it as reckless and an attempt to incite tension in the country.
Mustapha accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of resorting to outdated and baseless tactics, labeling their approach as “inferior communist tricks.”
He noted that Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC failed to present any evidence to support their claims of election rigging, calling the allegations insipid and unfounded.
He further argued that the NDC’s actions are aimed at creating unrest and laying the groundwork for chaos in the country.
“Yesterday, 19th November 2024, the communication officer of the NDC addressed a press conference on behalf of the party and spewed spurious lies to the nation on the NPP and other persons alleging that we are in cahoots to rig the December polls.
“The NDC knows they will lose this election and now are hiding behind rigging claims. We didn’t ask the NDC to present a bad candidate as their presidential candidate”.

The NPP loyalist further criticized Sammy Gyamfi and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), labeling them as blatant hypocrites.

He pointed out that just last week, a video went viral showing a group of individuals in Obuasi openly threatening violence in the upcoming elections on behalf of the NDC.
Salam Mustapha expressed disappointment that no member of the NDC, including its leadership, has condemned the group for what he described as reckless and irresponsible statements.
According to him, this silence highlights the party’s double standards and undermines its credibility when it claims to advocate for peaceful elections.
He urged the NDC to address such acts within their ranks and demonstrate a genuine commitment to maintaining peace and stability during the electoral process. “They are pretending not to be aware”.
NPP Ready to Defend Votes and Election Integrity Against NDC
Furthermore, Salam Mustapha made it clear that the NPP is fully prepared to take action if the NDC attempts to disrupt the upcoming elections.
He confidently stated, “We are waiting for them to try it, and we will fry them like kelewele.”
Mustapha emphasized that the NPP will not back down in defending both their right to vote and the integrity of the electoral process, affirming that the party will do so without any hesitation or apology.

“They have gone further to rope in the IGP of the Police in their diabolical agenda to raise tensions.
“I hope the security apparatus are taking into note these dangerous elements and put them under surveillance to ensure that their devilish desires don’t come through”.

He also criticized the NDC for what he described as a reckless and desperate smear campaign.
According to Mustapha, the NDC has resorted to dragging Brigadier-General Opoku’s name through the mud by making baseless and “stupid claims” in an attempt to create confusion and sow division.
He expressed disappointment in the NDC’s tactics, accusing them of trying to destabilize the election process through these unfounded allegations, instead of focusing on constructive campaigning.
Mustapha called on the NDC to abandon such divisive strategies and engage in a fair and transparent election process.
Salam Mustapha confidently stated that the NPP is fully prepared for the upcoming election and is determined to secure victory.
He emphasized that the party is unwavering in its resolve, saying, “No one can intimidate us, no one can cow us.”
Mustapha made it clear that the NPP is ready to stand firm against any attempts to undermine their efforts or disrupt the electoral process.
He asserted that the party will not hesitate to defend itself and its supporters if necessary, stressing that the NPP is committed to safeguarding the integrity of the election.
