Jay-Z Accused of Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old

Jay-Z

American rapper, Jay-Z’s attorney has made his first public statement regarding allegations that the rapper, along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, was involved in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl 24 years ago.

Earlier this month, an updated complaint in a civil case against Combs alleges that Jay-Z, whose name is Shawn Carter, and Combs raped the girl at an after-party following the MTV Video Music Awards in September of 2000.

Jay-Z had been initially identified in the complaint as “Celebrity A”.

However, in a recent press briefing held in New York City, Attorney Alex Spiro gave an update on Jay-Z amid the rape allegations plaguing the rapper.

He revealed that the Roc Nation boss is “upset” about the lawsuit and displeased that a person would be allowed to make a mockery of the “system.”

“He’s upset. He’s upset that somebody would be allowed to do this, to make a mockery of the system like this. He’s upset that this distracts and dissuades real victims from coming forward. He’s upset that his kids and his family have to deal with this. He’s upset, and he should be upset.”

Attorney Alex Spiro

During the press briefing, Jay-Z’s attorney, Spiro, was further asked about the rapper’s relationship with Diddy and whether he planned on speaking about it.

However, Spiro claimed that Jay-Z and Diddy do not share a strong relationship beyond working together and that the Tidal founder knows nothing about Diddy’s legal battles. “Mr. Carter has nothing to do with Mr. Combs’s case or Mr. Combs,” the lawyer said.

“They knew each other professionally for a number of years. Just like in all professions, people know each other. At the music awards, they support each other. There is no closer association between any of them.

“That’s also a matter of fiction. That’s all that there is. He doesn’t know anything about the charges or allegations against [Combs]. He has nothing to do with that case.”

Attorney Alex Spiro

Spiro also outlined what he says are inconsistencies in the timeline account of Jay-Z’s accuser, who was 13 years old at the time of the alleged sexual assault. “Obviously, Jay-Z did not rape a child,” Spiro said.

He added that he expects the case to be dismissed.

“If it’s not, eventually this will all crumble because it can’t possibly have happened mathematically. You don’t even need witnesses.

“They don’t have any witnesses because this never happened and you don’t need witnesses because the time doesn’t work. There’s literally photographic evidence that proves that this could not have happened.”

50 Cent and Jay-Z

American rapper and actor, 50 Cent continued to weigh in on fellow rapper-turned-businessman, Jay-Z’s lawsuit woes, as he fights rape allegations.

50 Cent, whose given name is Curtis Jackson III, teased a clip of a new interview, in which he spoke about his penchant for discussing his fellow celebrities.

“I’ve been the crazy guy for a long time,” 50 Cent said in the clip, adding that people have often told him he’s a “hater.”

However, when it came to seriously discussing the allegations leveled against Jay-Z, 50 Cent said he didn’t know where he stood on the matter.

“I have this thing where I’m conflicted when it takes you takes you 20 years to remember something happened to you.”

50 Cent

Sharing the clip on X, formerly Twitter, 50 Cent wrote: “Man if this bothers you, you should do something,” adding that he’s “outside it’s really not a problem!”

Over the years, 50 Cent has garnered a reputation for weighing in on other celebrities, most notably the legal issues surrounding Combs.

As Combs remains behind bars awaiting trial on allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, 50 Cent has trolled him on numerous occasions.

Combs has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
