FirstBank Marks Year-End Thanksgiving Service with Gratitude and Joy

FirstBank celebrated its 2024 Year-End Thanksgiving Service at Victory Bible Church International, Awoshie Junction, Accra, with an atmosphere of gratitude, reflection, and celebration.

This significant event brought together the Bank’s leadership, staff, and community members to express heartfelt thanks for the year’s blessings and achievements.

The Thanksgiving service, a blend of uplifting worship, inspiring testimonies, and reflective moments, provided an opportunity for the FirstBank family to acknowledge the guidance and support that had propelled their successes. Attendees were treated to vibrant music and praise, creating a unified sense of celebration that echoed throughout the church.

Addressing the congregation, Victor Yaw Asante

, the Managing Director/CEO of FirstBank, emphasized the essence of gratitude in both personal and professional spheres. In his speech, he reflected on the Bank’s journey throughout 2024, noting the challenges and triumphs faced.

“As we gather here today, we reflect on the challenges and triumphs of 2024. It is essential to acknowledge the support we have received from our clients, partners, and the community. Our success is a testament to the collective effort of everyone involved. We are thankful to God for His guidance and blessings, and we look forward to continuing our mission of serving our community with integrity and excellence in the coming year.”

The Bank’s focus on gratitude and community impact was echoed by the presiding bishop of Victory Bible Church, Bishop N.A. Tackie-Yarboi. In his address, he commended FirstBank’s unwavering commitment to community service and encouraged the Bank to sustain its positive contributions.

“Your efforts in uplifting the community and supporting various initiatives do not go unnoticed,” said Bishop Tackie-Yarboi. “As you continue to grow and thrive, may you always remember the importance of giving back and being a beacon of hope for others.”

Testimonies of Impact

The service highlighted FirstBank’s dedication to community development through heartfelt testimonies shared by employees. These narratives showcased the tangible impact of the Bank’s Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) initiatives in areas such as healthcare, education, and community empowerment.

One employee shared, “It has been fulfilling to see how our CR&S programs have positively impacted countless lives. From providing healthcare support to empowering young students with scholarships, FirstBank has truly demonstrated its commitment to creating a better society.”

Such stories reinforced the Bank’s mission of driving positive change and showcased its role as a leader in corporate social responsibility.

Prayers for Continued Success

A pivotal moment of the event was a special prayer session, during which attendees prayed for the sustained growth and success of FirstBank, as well as the well-being of its employees and clients. The collective prayers symbolized the unity and shared purpose that defines the FirstBank family.
