Controversial evangelist, Nana Agradaa, has responded defiantly to the GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit filed against her by gospel singer Empress Gifty.

In a fiery video posted online, Agradaa dismissed the legal action, insisting that no lawsuit can bring her down.

She brushed off the claims and declared her readiness to face the case in court as many times as necessary.

“Go to court 100 or even 200 times, I don’t care. Every idiot can go to court. I’m dealing with classy people, so I don’t have time for banter. Your husband went on TV inciting people to attack and kill me, he left you at home to insult me, someone else’s wife. I’m not scared of your lawsuit.”

“Any idiot can go to court,” Agradaa said bluntly, waving off the suit with visible disdain. According to her, Empress Gifty and her husband, Hopeson Adorye, are only making noise on social media without taking the proper legal steps.

“You don’t serve someone with a writ on Facebook, and if you truly have courage, serve me in person and let’s see where power lies,” she added. She claimed she had not been personally served and therefore does not recognize the suit as valid.

Agradaa, who calls herself the “Woman Trump,” warned that if taken to court over her statements, she would retaliate by suing Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye, at an international court — and use any compensation from that suit to fight Empress Gifty’s claim.

She made it clear she would not be silenced or intimidated, arguing that it was hypocritical for Empress Gifty to seek legal action when it was her husband who allegedly provoked her. According to Agradaa, her remarks were merely a response, not baseless attacks.

Meanwhile, Empress Gifty’s defamation suit accuses Agradaa of making false and damaging statements during a live broadcast. The suit claims the televangelist accused her of promiscuity, infidelity, and inappropriate relations with pastors.

The lawsuit states these allegations are false and have seriously harmed Empress Gifty’s reputation as a gospel artist and public figure. The gospel musician is demanding GH₵20 million in damages for reputational harm, emotional distress, and public ridicule.

Agradaa also fired back at Hopeson Adorye over ‘Noko Fine’ trademark dispute.

In a viral video, Hopeson Adorye cautioned Agradaa against using the phrase ‘Noko Fine’, stating that it is his wife’s trademark.

However, Agradaa responded boldly, claiming that she has officially registered the name and now owns it.

The situation raises questions about the ownership and use of popular catchphrases and trademarks in the public domain.

In the caption of the Instagram video, it was noted that the video was taken as part of the gospel singer’s cooking show called U Cook.

They announced that the episode would be aired on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and they encouraged everyone not to miss it.

“Reporting for Gob3 duty—apron on, fire lit, flavors ready. Who’s hungry? 😋Don’t miss #UCOOK this Sunday with @empress_gifty!”
