English professional footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold has been officially presented as a Real Madrid player in an emotional and symbolic event at the club’s Valdebebas training ground.
The English right-back, who spent his entire career at Liverpool until now, is starting a new chapter with the Spanish giants after completing all necessary medical examinations and signing his contract.
The presentation was filled with excitement and pride, both from the club and the player, marking a significant moment for Real Madrid’s future and for Alexander-Arnold’s already stellar career.
Club president, Florentino Pérez gave a heartfelt speech to welcome the 25 year old to the most successful club in European football history. He highlighted Alexander-Arnold’s achievements at Liverpool, where he won every major club trophy and became a symbol of modern full-back play.
“Dear Trent Alexander-Arnold, welcome to Real Madrid. We are once again living a very important day, because a player who has won everything and marked an era at one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, Liverpool, is coming to Real Madrid.”

The President emphasised that Alexander-Arnold had his pick of clubs across Europe but chose Madrid, a gesture he said would not be forgotten. “You could have chosen any club in the world, but you chose us. That decision means everything,” Pérez stated.

He continued by reminding everyone of what it meant to wear the white shirt. “You are now part of Real Madrid, the most admired, most loved, and most successful club in the world. The club of 15 European Cups.”
“You will live with values that are sacred to us. You’ll quickly understand what Real Madrid means to hundreds of millions of Madridistas around the world. Today is a day of great happiness because one of the greatest players in world football is joining our family.”

It featured highlights of his biggest moments — from his brilliant assist against Barcelona in the 2019 Champions League semifinal to his pinpoint crosses and playmaking that helped revolutionise the right-back role.

Alexander-Arnold Speaking Spanish
In what seemed to be the most surprising and memorable moment of the day, Alexander-Arnold addressed the crowd in confident Spanish, drawing applause and admiration from fans and the media.
“Good afternoon, everyone, thank you to President Florentino Pérez and to Real Madrid for this opportunity. I am very happy and proud to be here; it’s a dream come true. I’m ready to give everything for the team and for the Madridistas. I’m excited to show my game and be a champion. Thank you, and Hala Madrid!”.

Alexander-Arnold’s signing is a major statement by Real Madrid. Known for his pinpoint passing, vision, and attacking flair, he brings a unique skillset to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. While traditionally a right-back, he has also played in midfield for England, and that versatility is expected to be a key asset.

His arrival could signal the start of a new tactical evolution for Real Madrid. With Dani Carvajal nearing the latter years of his career, Alexander-Arnold could slot straight into the starting 11 or even take on a hybrid midfield-defensive role.
Beyond his footballing qualities, his mentality and big-game experience will be valuable in a team that constantly aims for domestic and continental glory.
Alexander-Arnold will soon join his new teammates as the squad prepares for pre-season. Real Madrid’s upcoming summer tour, which includes matches in the United States, will offer fans the first glimpse of him in white.
