Her invitation to the global stage is seen as a significant moment for Ghana’s gospel music industry, shining a spotlight on the growing international appeal of Ghanaian worship and praise artistry.
Known for her powerful voice, vibrant performances, and unapologetically bold presence, the gospel singer has continued to blaze a trail within the local music scene.

This latest feat not only cements her status as a leading figure in Ghanaian gospel music but also underscores the genre’s expanding global reach.
The FIFA Festival brings together artists from across the world as part of a cultural showcase tied to major international football events.
Empress Gifty’s inclusion in the festival’s lineup positions her alongside global entertainers and offers her a unique platform to represent Ghana’s gospel tradition on a worldwide stage.
Her announcement has since been met with overwhelming support from fans and colleagues, many of whom have praised her for lifting the flag of Ghana high.
As the only Ghanaian gospel act invited to the event, Empress Gifty’s performance is expected to introduce a new audience to the spirited and soulful sounds of Ghanaian gospel music.
Prophet Criticized for Empress Gifty’s Prophecy

A Ghanaian prophet sparked online backlash after sharing a prophecy of doom about gospel singer Empress Gifty.
In a video, the prophet claimed he saw a vision of two women holding an obituary poster of the gospel singer.
He said the two ladies were crying, indicating they were in mourning. The prophet also claimed he saw RIP (rest in peace) written on the poster.
He called for intense prayers for the gospel singer to save her from the doom he could foretell in his dream.
Ghanaians expressed outrage at the prophecy, with some accusing the prophet of being an agent of Nana Agradaa.
Empress Gifty and former priestess-turned-preacher Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, are embroiled in a social media beef and legal battle.

The beef kicked off after Agradaa alleged that the gospel singer engages in extramarital affairs to fund her lavish lifestyle. The singer responded by filing a defamation lawsuit at the Tema High Court, seeking GH₵ 20 million in damages.
Despite the looming legal battle, Nana Agradaa continued to attack Empress Gifty on social media, even dragging her late mother into the beef.
Following the ruling, the ‘Watch Me’ hitmaker filed a second defamation lawsuit against Nana Agradaa for claiming she had HIV.
Ghanaians reacted to the doom prophecy on Empress.
“People will come and insult this man instead of praying that the vision doesn’t come to pass.”

“I said this in my mind that Agradaa will work spiritually to attack Gifty if she sees herself losing the case because Agra will not understand for Gifty or Adorye to chop her money for free. May God protect Gifty.”
