Multiple award-winning Ghanaian musician, KiDi, known in private life as Dennis Nana Dwamena, has made a bold yet hilarious declaration about Ghanaian men.
According to the “Say You Love Me” hitmaker, Ghanaian men are faithful by nature and do not cheat on their partners.
KiDi responded to whether he had ever cheated in a relationship. To the surprise of many fans, the self-styled “Sugar Daddy” calmly responded that he had never been unfaithful.
“No, I haven’t cheated on my partner before,” he said with laughter, adding, “I am a faithful black man; Ghanaian men don’t cheat. The Ghanaian men here,” he continued, pointing to the men in the studio, “can attest to it that we don’t cheat.”
Pushing the humor further, KiDi jokingly explained that any Ghanaian man who cheats must not be entirely Ghanaian. “If a Ghanaian man cheats, then maybe he has something else inside him” he teased, sending the studio into laughter.
The claim that “Ghanaian men are faithful by nature and do not cheat on their partners” is appealing and reflects valued ideals.
But evidence shows that while many Ghanaian men are indeed faithful, a meaningful minority do cheat. It is neither fair nor accurate to describe fidelity as an innate absolute.

A healthier approach lies in recognizing the good, understanding the flaws, and working to strengthen trust, values and communication in relationships rather than leaning on idealized assertions.
His comments on faithfulness may have drawn laughter, but the conversation soon shifted when KiDi was asked if he personally considers himself a romantic person.
Interestingly, the singer, often perceived as the ladies’ man because of his music and public image, gave a rather unexpected response.
“I don’t actually think I’m romantic in real life. I might have love in my heart, but I’m not the type to stand under a lady’s window singing sweet songs.”

According to him, what people often interpret as romance is simply his ability to connect with others on an emotional level. “I know how to express myself, communicate well, and give good advice, especially in relationships. Maybe that’s why people think I’m romantic,” he added with a smile.
KiDi on Handling Pressure From Women
The Ghanaian Afrobeats and R&B musician revealed how he manages advances from women.
The award-winning artist said: “There’s no rule book on how to deal with these things; just grace and making sure that you’re disciplined.”

The debut episode featured a wide-ranging conversation about KiDi’s music career, personal life and approach to fame.
On the subject of marriage, KiDi disclosed: “KiDi is getting married, but we don’t know if it’s soon. It’s something I want one day, but I don’t know if I’m ready for it yet.” Asked if there was a special woman in his life, he replied “No”, confirming he is currently single.
The musician also reflected on his determination to stay authentic in his craft despite the demands of fame. He explained that his personal experiences influence his music, helping him create songs that resonate deeply with his audience.
KiDi is the voice behind hits such as Odo, Touch It, Say Cheese, Enjoyment and Adiepena. His chart-topping songs, which have earned him awards including Artist of the Year at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, have gained international recognition.
His music, often romantic and soulful, has endeared him especially to women, making him one of the most adored acts of his generation.
Doing this not only honors one’s dignity, but also enhances mutual respect, trust, and long‑term wellbeing.
