Advans Ghana Disburses GH¢900m in Fresh Loans As Profit Jumps 256%

Advans Ghana Savings and Loans Limited has delivered one of the most impressive performances in Ghana’s financial sector, disbursing more than GH¢900 million in fresh loans during the 2025 financial year.

The remarkable achievement underscores the institution’s growing influence in supporting businesses, driving financial inclusion, and stimulating economic activity across the country.

The record lending performance comes on the back of a stellar financial year that saw Advans Ghana post a net profit of GH¢66.9 million, representing a staggering 256 percent increase from the GH¢18.7 million recorded in 2024. The extraordinary growth signals a new chapter for the institution as it continues to expand its footprint while delivering meaningful impact to individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses.

Industry observers view the results as a strong indication of Advans Ghana’s ability to navigate an increasingly competitive financial landscape while maintaining a clear focus on its mission of empowering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Loan Portfolio Expands at Rapid Pace

The institution’s aggressive lending activities translated into substantial growth in its loan book. Advans Ghana’s gross loan portfolio climbed from GH¢390 million in 2024 to GH¢580 million in 2025, reflecting increased demand for credit and the institution’s ability to meet the financing needs of businesses across various sectors.

This expansion has provided crucial capital to entrepreneurs seeking to grow operations, acquire equipment, expand production capacity, and create jobs. At a time when access to affordable financing remains one of the biggest challenges facing Ghanaian businesses, Advans Ghana’s commitment to lending has positioned it as a key catalyst for economic growth.

The significant increase in lending activity also reflects rising confidence among businesses that view the institution as a reliable partner in their growth journey.

Deposits Surge as Trust Deepens

Beyond its impressive lending figures, Advans Ghana witnessed strong growth in customer deposits. Deposits increased by 56 percent to reach GH¢430 million, demonstrating growing public confidence in the institution.

Financial analysts often regard deposit growth as one of the clearest indicators of customer trust. The ability to attract and retain deposits not only strengthens liquidity but also enables financial institutions to expand lending operations sustainably.

The growth in deposits suggests that more Ghanaians are embracing formal savings channels while benefiting from the products and services offered by the institution.

At the same time, Advans Ghana’s active client base expanded to 149,000 customers, further reinforcing its status as one of the country’s leading financial institutions serving micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Women Entrepreneurs Drive Inclusive Growth

A key highlight of the institution’s performance was its continued focus on women’s economic empowerment. Female clients increased significantly to 86,000 during the year, reflecting Advans Ghana’s commitment to promoting inclusive finance.

Through its flagship AdvansHER programme, loans disbursed to women entrepreneurs increased by 52 percent. Even more encouraging was the 17 percent rise in average loan size, suggesting that women-led businesses are growing and requiring larger amounts of capital to scale their operations.

The institution’s support extends beyond financing. More than 30,000 women farmers received business skills training designed to improve productivity, strengthen management capabilities, and increase income generation opportunities.

In addition, Advans Ghana invested GH¢10.2 million into critical agricultural value chains including rice and shea production, helping strengthen sectors that contribute significantly to rural livelihoods and national economic development.

Digital Banking Gains Momentum

Technology played a major role in the institution’s success story during 2025. Digital transactions increased by an impressive 48 percent as more customers embraced convenient and accessible banking solutions.

The rapid adoption of USSD banking services and the MyAdvans GH mobile application has enabled customers to access financial services from virtually anywhere. This development is particularly significant for individuals and businesses operating in areas with limited access to traditional banking infrastructure.

As digital adoption continues to rise, Advans Ghana is leveraging technology to reduce barriers to financial inclusion while improving customer experience and operational efficiency.

The growing use of digital platforms highlights the increasing importance of innovation in shaping the future of Ghana’s financial services sector.

Commitment to Responsible Banking

While delivering strong financial results, Advans Ghana also strengthened its reputation as a responsible financial institution.

The company earned the Client Protection Certification at Silver Level from MFR, a globally recognised standard that validates transparent and responsible lending practices. The certification demonstrates the institution’s commitment to treating customers fairly and ensuring ethical business conduct.

Advans Ghana also achieved ISO 27001 certification, an internationally recognised benchmark for information security management. This accomplishment reinforces the institution’s dedication to protecting customer data and maintaining robust operational systems.

These recognitions enhance the institution’s credibility and position it as a trusted partner for businesses and individuals alike.

Raising the Standard in 2026

Meanwhile, Advans Ghana has unveiled its 2026 strategic theme, “Raising the Standard.” The roadmap focuses on scaling operations, deepening customer engagement, investing in employee development, and improving operational efficiency.

Managing Director Guillaume Valence attributed the institution’s success to the trust of clients and the dedication of employees.

“Behind these results are real stories: clients who trust us to grow their businesses and committed teams who deliver every day. Purpose, vision, and disciplined execution are what drive our growth.”

With record profits, expanding loans, rising deposits, growing digital adoption, and a firm commitment to financial inclusion, Advans Ghana appears well-positioned to continue shaping the future of inclusive banking in Ghana while supporting the ambitions of thousands of businesses across the country.
