Ghanaian musical artist Q_tbg born Nii Dodoo Otoo has said that the Nigerian music industry is doing better than the Ghanaian music industry because they have more team players in the music industry.

In an interview, he said Nigerians are bigger risk-takers culturally and they are hungrier when it comes to making music.

He added that Nigerians pump lots of money into their music whereas Ghanaians do the opposite.

“Nigerians pump lots of money in making their music whereas Ghanaian industry players are the opposite of that. They have more team players in the industry and they are bigger risk takers culturally”.

He continued to say that Ghanaians don’t have the right type of motivation in making their music and are afraid to fund their music.

“We don’t have the right type of motivation. We are not hungry here and we are not humble enough. We are afraid to fund much into making music.

“It’s not possible to copy them without these factors. I think we should develop ways of investing in our music to favor us”.

Q_tbg said that the safest way to invest in Ghanaian music is to get a high-paying job and make enough money.

He added that he thinks their genre of music is also a factor that helps them in making waves in the music industry.

He said;

“I think genre just directs your music to a certain group of people. The more common your genre, the more people you would reach”.

He further added that Nigerians are creative when it comes to their music videos, pictures, and their social media content.

He said;

“The top Ghanaian creatives are able to rub shoulders with creatives all over the world”.
