Mohammed Kudus Makes Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 List for 2023

Forbes Africa has named Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus among their list of ’30 under 30′ for the year 2023 as part of honouring youthful but influential personalities in Africa.

The 22-year-old is one of only two Ghanaians on this year’s list following his explosive form in the ongoing football season, with the other being creative director and videographer Emmanuel Whajah.

Kudus has been one of the best Ghanaian players in Europe in the ongoing season. The former Right to Dream Academy player starred in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where he scored twice and grabbed an assist. In other competitions, he scored four goals in the UEFA Champions League for Ajax and assisted an extra two.

Kudus has so far scored 18 goals and five assists in all competitions this season for the Dutch giants. Following his exploits, the former FC Nordsjaelland playmaker has been recognised on Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 list.

Speaking about his ambitions for the season, Kudus said he hopes to win the league and cup double with Ajax, insisting he hasn’t achieved anything yet.

“The goal is to win the cup and the league and until I achieve that I haven’t done anything yet. So there is more coming. More work to be done,” Kudus said.

More To Come

Meanwhile, Kudus believes there is more to come from him despite his blistering form in the ongoing campaign.

“These young achievers are starting from scratch to build businesses and brands that are totally solutions-oriented. For this coveted ninth annual edition of the FORBES AFRICA 30 Under 30 list, our newest class of multi-tasking multi-hyphenate entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders show how they will grow human capital, put a dent in issues and lead Africa’s future – on their own terms,” read the publication on Forbes Africa website.

Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 recognises the brightest visionaries, risk-takers, change-makers and pioneers to take their place on the continent.

The list comprises 30 of Africa’s most ingenious innovators under the age of 30 for the categories of Business, Technology, Creatives, Sport and Science/Health.
