KEEP THE PEACE – STONEBWOY PLEADS WITH PEOPLE OF ASHIAMAN

Reading Time: 3 mins read
Stonebwoy, has pleaded with the people of Ashiaman to allow peace reign.

Afropop/Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.

Ghanaian Afropop, dance hall, and reggae singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name as Stonebwoy, has pleaded with the people of Ashiaman to allow peace reign.

This follows a protest by some people in Ashiaman who took to the streets to register their displeasure in the declared results of the 2020 Presidential elections.

The CEO of the Burniton music group, took it upon himself to plead with the people of Ashiaman on Twitter noting that all they are doing is not going to solve the issue as the politicians themselves know what to do.

He went on to emphasize that the only time they could display their political prowess was when they cast their votes and that they should leave the matter of who won what to the political leaders to solve themselves instead of allowing themselves to be used by the political leaders to incite conflict.

“Ashiaman, my people please all these cannot solve anything, the politicians themselves know better what to do. Where our small power counts are to vote and we have done just that. Don’t allow yourself to be used by heart”.

He further went on to charge them to keep the peace and go about their daily work because it will be better at the end of the day.

“Let’s KEEP THE PEACE and go about our hustle”.

However, some of his fans were not pleased with his advice and have chided him for that since they believe he voted for Nana Addo and that is why he gave such a piece of advice.

“@stonebwoyb paa I regret say abi your fan. ‘u for know say’ the only thing that can exercise peace is justice.  People are massively cheating and you want people to keep quiet!

“It is better you be in the lane of your music. This is not about music beside they do support you because they like and love what u do but I don’t think when u wake up, you do move around Ashaiman and give everyone breakfast to eat so you have no right to tell them who to choose.

“We’ll do more than this okay? Till the right thing is done. We really voted! Why won’t you count our vote? Aren’t we Ghanaian’s?

“For the right thing to be done, it is through a strong protest or court that is what the constitution says. 1GAD we are doing the right thing” they replied.

Meanwhile some of his followers even went a bit further to reign insults on him whilst others came to defend, and cautioned the music icon not to pay any attention to those comments.

It has not been long when the Afro-pop/ Dancehall artiste, organized a peace walk in Ashaiman as part of a campaign to promote peace and unity before, during, and after the 2020 general elections.

The peace walk attracted fans of Stonebwoy from different genres and they were dressed in white T-shirts whilst displaying placards with various peace messages.

He said peace messages needed to be drummed into Ghanaians across the regions.

He, therefore, called on all Ghanaians to spread the message of peace, hope, and unity before, and after the December 7 polls.
