I Regret Quitting Pastoral Role – Avraham Ben Moshe

Ghanaian socialite, Avraham Ben Moshe

Ghanaian socialite Avraham Ben Moshe has disclosed that he regrets quitting his pastoral role because it is now a very lucrative job.

Avraham Ben Moshe is the leader of the Common Sense Family, a group that engages in debates on religious issues, particularly about the belief systems of Christians and Muslims.

According to him, he was born a Muslim but did not go with the Islamic doctrines as a child.

He asserted:

“When I was young, I loved to play football. According to Islam, one is supposed to teach a child how to pray at age 7 and discipline the child with a rod at age 10 to be able to go with their doctrines. I didn’t like the Islamic religion because I didn’t understand why they were using a rod on me just to worship Allah”.

He further stated that he grew up in a Christian community, adding that if he had grown up in an Islamic community, it would have pushed him to become a Muslim.

Avraham revealed that he used to gather children around him to share the word of God with them and he used to preach from house to house at a very young age.

He recounted:

“At that young age, I had elderly people listening to me anytime I preached the word of God because I had a mature way of preaching, and they always said that I would become a pastor when I grew up.

“I had nine branches at the time I established my church. It was a registered church and I was the head pastor and had a lot of people in the congregation. The name of the church was New Jerusalem Synagogue of Yashua. It got to a time when I was questioning the belief because I realized there were inconsistencies in the Bible”.

He disclosed that he did lots of research on how some names in the Bible changed, adding that the people of Europe changed all the names in the Bible by tapping into the Jewish concept.

He further stated that the scriptures in the Bible didn’t tally according to his research because the concepts of each book in the Bible were different and he cited that most of the stories in the Bible were made up.

The socialite advised that Christians should question the belief system.

He said:

“Our ancestors made their belief system in a way that people grow and people evolve, so they did it in a way that is subject to change. Culture is not static, but culture is dynamic. Culture changes as we age, and it helps us fit into society.

“But Christianity and Islam cannot change. People are growing and people are evolving. The Bible won’t match up to expectation if we are to compare the 21st-century brain to the Bible, because the world is more advanced than the Bible”.

I am very sure corruption will end

The socialite Avraham Ben Moshe said he believes that corruption will end if Ghanaian politicians swear to the traditional gods.

According to him, it is one’s choice to believe in God.

He said the first question one is to ask before accepting the Bible is who wrote the Bible because it is one’s slave master, adding that a believer should be given the chance to worship what they believe in, rather than demoralizing people’s beliefs.

Avraham disclosed that he realized recently when studying spirituality that one’s belief in traditional gods is not stupidity but traditional gods hate stupidity.

Citing examples, he revealed that traditional gods will never ask one to cheat on his or her husband or ask someone to steal from their neighbors because the gods will deal with individuals who go wrong or hurt someone.

He challenged that people fear traditional gods rather than the Bible.

He said:

“Let’s make all the politicians in Ghana swear in using our traditional gods for just a term; I am very sure corruption will end. They would have brought all the money in hideouts. The white man knows that traditional gods are very powerful, that’s why they came up with powerless weapons so we that can be like them”.
