NDC Has Robust IT System To Collate 2024 Election Result- Omane Boamah

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Director of Election and IT, has stated that his party has the technological know-how and sufficient people resources to put in place a reliable IT system that will increase their chances of winning the general elections in 2024.

The Former Minister of Communications under the erstwhile Mahama administration indicated that the National Democratic Congress would win the 2024 General Election and would deploy a robust IT system to secure its victory.

The National Democratic Congress’ IT system, according to Dr. Omane Boamah, has previously undergone testing during the party’s presidential primary and the Assin North by-election, and it is now prepared to collect results for the 2024 General Election.

He therefore denounced claims by the ruling New Patriotic Party that, the National Democratic Congress does not have a superior strategy to counter the New Patriotic Party ahead of the 2024 December 7 polls.

“But we don’t shout or talk about what we are doing. We did it seamlessly in our presidential primaries without noise. From there, we moved to Assin North, and we’ve done it. Not that I am over-trusting the team that we have worked with, but as we speak, we’ve worked together for at least two years.”

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah

He revealed that the team that deployed the NDC’s IT system for its presidential primaries and the Assin North by-election was chaired by the former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, before his recent appointment as the Director of Elections in charge of IT, indicating that they have sufficient human resource to deliver.

“Let me assure our people, that just as we didn’t make noise about the presidential primaries and the collation in Assin North, we’ll deliver.”

Dr. Edward Omane Boammah

Dr Edward Omane Boamah also reiterated that as someone who was once the Minister of Communication that built the largest data centre in Africa and has been relating with people in the space of information technology for some time now, he believed he could marshal a superior IT system to collate result for the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 General Elections.

NDC Confident of Winning Election 2024

Dr Omane Boamah also stressed that beyond the sound IT system that party has put in place, the National Democratic Congress’s general strategy on every aspect of the 2024 December polls will make things difficult for the New Patriotic Party to beat them.

“Over the years, whatever we’ve done we let the collective own it. If we hadn’t come to the opposition, who would have known Okudzeto Ablakwa was this prolific in investigations? It is teamwork, and we have a robust team that will deliver it. We still test the system, and we will stress test it with an avalanche of data, far more than it will receive on Election Day”.

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah

Dr Omane Boamah emphasized that he is very confident that the National Democratic Congress will win the 2024 elections due to the work the party has committed doing. He noted that the National Democratic Congress has conducted its internal research, and opinion polls and therefore the party is not going to rely on any second party for its successes in the 2024 General Election.

He also stated that it is the reason the party would continue to oppose any deliberate plans that are being erected to derail their prospect in the 2024 December General Election and that is why the party is opposing vehemently the decision by the Electoral Commission on its limited voter registration exercise that the EC has restricted to only its district offices across the country.
