The uproar and whispers surrounding Mr. Ibu’s desperate call for aid regarding his health predicament continue to simmer.
The beloved comic entertainer, his voice dripping with pain and anguish, sounded the alarm that the clock is ticking as the axe of amputation hovers threateningly over his leg and demanded urgent financial aid.
What’s more, a clandestine whisper on social media hints that his health issues transcend the ordinary, implying that sinister juju charms might be at play, with fingers being pointed at his colleagues as potential culprits in this mysterious affliction.
A few hours after the esteemed Actor, Mr. Ibu, bellowed for prayers in his relentless fight with a mysterious ailment that could potentially cost him his legs, he’s been advised to tread a more spiritual path to address the situation.
Mr. Ibu, keeping the details of his ailment under wraps, conveyed that he’s walking on thin ice, suggesting that the medical director’s prescribed treatment is his last roll of the dice to salvage his leg.
In his response, Uche Maduagwu seized the virtual megaphone of social media and boldly proclaimed that Mr. Ibu’s health tribulations have a spiritual twist.
The actor voiced that, despite Mr. Ibu’s goodwill, a faction of his Nollywood peers laid a juju trap at his feet, and he fell right into it.
Maduagwu further revealed that his colleagues have ventured down diverse herbalist paths, all with the corrupt goal of trying to cast him into the throes of sickness.
“What you going through is Spiritual, Dear Mr IBU, Because of your Kindness, your Colleagues in Nollywood Don put JUJU for ground for you to Walk on, this is spiritual Sir. They have gone to Different Babalawo on your matter, you showed Them Kindness in their time of need, but look at How they reward you?” Uche Maduagwu wrote tagging Mr. Ibu in his caption.
Forces Joined To Help Nollywood Actor
Nigerian Superstars, Davido and Rudeboy have decided to join forces to help Nollywood actor, Mr John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu.
Jasmine, Mr. Ibu’s daughter noted that they would appreciate it if anyone or an organization could help fly Mr Ibu abroad for further treatment hence he is not responding to treatment in the Lagos hospital he was admitted into.
She further added that the hospital is about to transfer them to another hospital and she has exhausted all her funds already.
Reacting to this, Rudeboy tagged Davido in the comments section who agreed to join their resources to help Mr Ibu back on his feet.
Also, highly-rated singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, pledged his support for the ill Nollywood veteran.
In a post on Instagram, Mr. P described Mr Ibu as one who brought smiles to the faces of many and beckoned the public to support him both financially and through prayers.

John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, is a Nigerian actor and comedian.
He has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies including “Mr.Ibu (2004)”, “Mr. Ibu and His Son”, “Coffin Producers”, “Husband Suppliers”, “International Players”, “Mr.Ibu in London (2004)”, “Police Recruit (2003)”, “9 Wives (2005)”, “Ibu in Prison (2006)”, and “Keziah (2007)”.
Mr Ibu also ventured into music. He did music for a short period of time. On October 15, 2020, he released his songs titled “This Girl”, and “Do You Know”.
